Or you may try the very similar Sygic Map Selector:

I am not in the position to test it myself, but maybe you like to do that.
    If so, please report back.

Yes, I agree with Brown Dog - I already tried it without success. Furthermore, developer's webpage (pfittech) seems to be full of malware...

The question I am asking why would you need this app?

I understand some user's want to use Here maps which are not for this Sygic app.

So use these maps for your complete trip.

But at what point do you need to use this app?

If I am driving from example Germany to Belgium I would use the TomTom Maps for the whole trip.
I sure not going to to switch maps at the boarder line to finish my trip to Belgium using Here maps.

To begin with I have told Sygic where I want to go from point A to Point B with the TomTom Maps.

So now we use the map changer and switch maps to Here and now have to pick where I am going to stop in Belgium order to setup the map to finish my trip.

What a complete waste of time.

I think you would be setting this up before you do your trip.

    But still why??

Either you use one set of maps or the other.

Or you have 2 phone one with TomTom maps and the other with Here maps.
That being said is just another waste of time and money.

Yes some say Here maps are better others say TomTom maps are better.

The truth is the mater is you would of had to use both types of maps on the complete trip to determine which is better in each country.

Now I do not see anyone doing that at all.

Well, believe it or not there are some countries which doesn't have 100% coverage from both maps. Here or TT.
For example, in same city TT map does have street numbers for some street, HERE doesn't. But in same city, in another street, HERE have street numbers and TT doesn't. So mapchanger is very useful.

I understand what you are saying.

But at what point in a drive do you make the change?
Nr.1 you would have to stop your car.
Nr.2 Turn off Sygic clear the cache then switch maps.
Nr.3 Restart Sygic now with the so called better map and off you go.

When I setup a trip I do not care if it shows me the street numbers.
The first thing I do is go to the internet and get the GPS coordinates of the hotel front door or the office I need to be at.
I have their address already I just put it in at this link.

    The rest is not important.
I want the GPS to get me from point A to Point B in a fast and easy way.
    The rest does not matter.
Most Hotels or office or stores on there websites post the gps coordinates.

Hm, I think it's easier to put address in navi, than going to web and searching for a coordinates. Also, some (most) people do not use navi only for travelling. As I said, same city, you have to go from address to another address, let's say taxi drivers. It's important for them to be on the right place without cruising around. Before start driving, check one map, if it's ok than continue with that map, if it's not ok, change a map. 2. minutes of work.
