Does not work on ext. SD card (non-rooted Galaxy S5 with Lollipop). It probably does not have write permission for folder Storage/extSDCard/Android/data/com.sygic.aura/files/Sygic . Any solution, please?

I still believe the SYG utility does not have write permission for an external SD card under Lollipop, so it is not able to change the name of a folder. The SYG utility works like a charm under Android 4.3 (Galaxy S3) with the same configuration...
Then start Syg Utility again, choose map, and see what happens.
Are there any error messages or logging that point to such a problem?
There are no error messages, but 1) the NQ button does not stay green and maps are not switched; 2) The SYG utility works OK on Android 4.3 (which does not limit permissions on SD card in the way Lollipop does) in the very same configuration; 3) Even Total Commander or ES File Explorer ask me to manually confirm that those apps are approved to write or make any changes on the SD card on Lollipop. There is not such dialog in SYG utility.

As we know with the Android update version 5, the write permissions to sd card have been changed, allowing developers and regular users to grant write to sd card permissions for specific apps and folders.
You can adjust permissions for unaware apps in /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml.
<permission name="android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" >
<group gid="sdcard_r" />
<group gid="sdcard_rw" />
Now save it and set the file permissions to 0644 that is, rw-r–r, which is very Linux-like, reboot and that's all.
But.... your device has te be rooted to do this trick.
Though rooting Andoid devices is not as risky as it was before, I do not encourage doing so.
Therefore we 'd better ask Sygic Map Changers' developer to update his app.
OK keesdewit, thanks again for your effort and help! Unfortunately, I am not brave enough to root the device, as I am afraid of losing warranty. So, I will probably wait a while, whether the Map Changer's developer addresses this issue...
