    Default TTS voices problem

I am trying to get TTS voices working but have a problem.

Does anyone know why I get the following error when I try to configure the Android TTS voices in Sygic

    "No results found for "pname:com.svox.langpack.installer"

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

I believe Sygic uses Loquendo, you can see it when you download it from a Map Downloader the directory LoquendoTTS.

    Thanks

This folder \LoquendoTTS goes in the Root of the Internal Memory of the phone.

Did you download the folder from the latest downloader???

Plus you need the voices folder that has to be in "\Sygic\Res\"
Did you download the lastest of these also???

Plus do you have the file "LoquendoTTSLicense.txt"
    0KmKcfl

That has to be in the folder \LoquendoTTS

See this post for that downloader:

Make sure you get the Base folder too along with what voices you want!!!!

    Lrazc10

    And the "Voices" folder

    Pick the voices you want.

    xYVqr8I

Then copy the \LoquendoTTS to your phone or tablet

Replace the \voices folder with the new one on your phone or tablet

Now reboot your phone or tablet

Start the app and pick what voice you want to here.

    Now under "Settings:"

    pick "Regional"
    Pick the Language you want

A list of what you downloaded will show up.

    Pick one

Then leave the "Language and Regional"

Next go to "Notifications & Sounds"

    Now pick "voice"

move down to ones that say (Advanced Voice)

Pick one of them and you are all set.

Now leave "Voice" then "Notifications & Sounds" then "Settings"

You are now ready to pick a location to drive to.

    Thanks Chambers.

I am still missing something here.

I used the latest downloader and selected the Loquendo TTS base plus 3 voices from the UK English section.

I moved the downoaded Loquendo TTS folder to the root of the internal storage (I assume you do not mean the 'ROOT' directory as in the phone needs to be rooted to access it (or do you?))
In this directory as well as the 'language' sub directories I have three sub-directories with names - these being the names of the voices I selected under the English British section of the downloader.
The license file is also there.

In Sygic/Res/Voices I have various sub directories for 'english_man, english_woman,homer_simpson, TTS British English' etc.

    BUT
When I go into the sygic settings and set the Region to English(British), and then go into Notifications & Sounds/Voices I see Homer_simpson (standard voice), English (British) David(standard voice), English UK Emma(Standard voice) and thats it.

If I select to 'Get More' TTS voices I get the error in my original post.

So I'm currently stumped as everything you suggest seems to be in place.

What version of the app are you using???

    I have v15.6.7 installed.

I do not even try the beta versions anymore.

As for the root of the internal storage not in a rooted phone.

    I show this:

    A8dkzRG

Now in the upper right hand there are more settings.

There you can download some TTS drivers maybe that will help you ???

I did not have to use it.

The other 'settings' take me back to the android settings where the error message shown earlier appears.

You are using a Beta version and they all have one problem or another.

This is that other window I was talking about:

Now in the upper right hand you get to these setting with wifi on.
    xeEHd1T

    There you can download drivers.

    See if that will work.

If not install v15.6.6 and update to v15.6.7 is the latest final version.

Unfortunately when I select the install voice data I get the error shown earlier - not the screen you show.

I'll try using a different version and see how it goes, thanks.

it seem 16.0.9 doesn't work with Loquendo but android default tts engine, forcing 'setting.ini' to use loquendo gave me no result.
