Lucky for me the maps in my area doesn't changes that much. I rather use old maps in a working proggy than run a buggy proggy with new maps (which is worthless if proggy crashed) I do not understand why Sygic choose to create multiple products (Sygic, SygicTaxi, SygicTruck, SygicCar, etc...) and spend effort on "eye-candy" enhancements/features yet do want to spend resources on fixing problems for existing proggy.

    I agree with you 100%.

Plus why keep 2 Map companies for your products.
Go with one or the other.
Here Maps will work on all the different apps they have.
There alone they can cut costs.
And yes cut out all the extra's that are not needed.
Work on building a very stable GPS app.
Once they have done that they can review if the extra's are really needed.
And if it is worth cost wise to add them in.
Sygic need to clean house and bring in people who can make smart decisions.

You can not compare the new UI to the old UI.
It does no come close to a stable GPS app.
The old UI could be customized to your liking.
You could add your own voices to any warnings.
Edit and change Icons to your poi's you added.
The list goes on and on.

You can not say that about the new UI.
They removed everything that user's liked.

Why they went down this path is anyone's question.

To cut off use's of the Older UI to use new maps is one of their biggest mistakes.

Plus if you look at other GPS apps they all work on most Android versions.

The new UI cut off a lot of use's with older phones and tablets.

You need a phone or tablet with min version 4.0 of Android.
Just to compare during testing, is it possible to install both 14.3.4 and 15.4.10 toghether ?

I noticed in 14.3.4 there are different speedtrap warnings displayed : only speedcam and speedcam + redlighgt ?
Never noticed that in version 15.4.10.

You can not run both on the same phone or tablet.
v14.3.4 is very flexible to customize.
On the speed warning you can add your own voice to it.
That goes for all the warnings in v14.3.4.
That you can find under Settings:
    Then Notifications and sounds.
    Under the Notifications
There are 4 items you can customize.
You can record your own voice and use it on these warnings.
You have access to all the Poi's you add also your own voice to them.
It has to be the best app that Sygic came out with.
    Maybe it was to good......

Here is info on voices for warnings:

Changing sounds in version v14.3.4 series to voice commands

    First:

    Rename \Sygic\Res\sounds to \Sygic\Res\xsounds

    Next:

Download sounds folder and copy it to \Sygic\Res

    link

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Start Sygic

    1 go to Settings
    2 then Notification & Sounds
    oynOtia
    3 Pick Speed cameras
4 Click on Sound and replace with Speedcamera.ogg
    icHyUIB]
    5 click on Back
6 go to the next one Speed limits
7 Click on Sound and replace with speed limit.ogg
8 click on Back and add the next sound etc etc.

Now these are voice commands sounds I have made.

You can record your voice or your girlfriends voice and replace what I have made.

    Most Smartphones have a recorder.

Plus you can put it in the language you need.

    The commands recorded are:

    off road.ogg
    railroad.ogg
    sharp curve ahead.ogg
    speed limit.ogg
    Speedcamera.ogg
    traffic ahead.ogg

There are other in the list but I have not made voice commands for them.

I will leave it up to you.....

    Credit goes to Asprin624

PS for it to work it has to be in the format of .OGG
There are lots of online websites that will convert them for you.

Thanks chambers, I will test it for a week or so and we will see if the " arrow position jumping to nearby roads " during driving a route
    is over now.
But I doubt it 's better than Copilot, tested it now for a week or so and I did not have one mistake or error and it never crashed.
Importing poi is also so easy, download the most common poi set ( tomtom .ov2 ) and simply import.
Also updates are downloaded without problems with the crc version + premium license ( Brown Dog ) .
Only thing is it uses Here maps , I found out they are not always up to date, even when you check on the Here website many
newer situations are not there yet. TomTom def does a better job but that has nothing to do with the Copilot app itself.
3D maps are a bit basic ( not many real buildings etc ) but works very smooth, if I want 3D building I look out the windscreen.

with the next poll you should add, I used Sygic before but no longer since version 15
    what is my case
also and this is only verified for Spain, the Sygic TomTom maps (0.4 Gb) are very basic the Sygic Here maps are even worse and the actual TomTom maps (0.9 Gb) on GO shows most of the dirt roads where lots of little urbanisations are located.
So for Spain rural TomTom GO is the only solution what works.
