    help Sygic 15 route recalculate

Yesterday I was trying Sygic 15 all appeared well as I drove along until I turned off route about a block to a coffee shop.
I left the coffee shop by an exit that took me directly back on my route however my Sygic insisted that I make a UTURN
and go back to travel the portion of the route about (100 yds. ) that I had not traveled over. Is there any way to set Sygic to
recalculate the chosen route even though a tiny portion has not been traveled?

I am running version 15.4.10 When this happens, if I just touch anywhere on the nav screen, a menu pops up from the bottom. Simply touch "Skip Waypoint" and it drops that waypoint and goes on to the next one. Very fast and easy.

Thank you Joe I'll definitely give that a try, this thing is distracting. Sygic support wasn't much help.
The techy there admonished me about using 3rd party mapping apps saying that might be part of the problem.
I use "My Route App" besides allowing editing on my PC it will save in itf. format and ITN converter I export to desk top >copy open Sygic on my PC >res>itinerary>paste>sygic settings>load route
This is the only app I've found so far that will allow imports to Sygic itinerary that will open and create a route. So all was well until coffee break so thanks again
I'll try your idea. Below are the links if you'd like to check these out.

I create a route in MyRouteApp on the pc. This program can save routes in several formats (unfortunately not in the sygic-format). So I save the route in tomtom-format which is .itn.
I use ITN Converter to convert the route to the Sygic-format (13&14, .itf).
Then I copy the route to the itinerary directory on my phone.
After that I can select the route in my favorites. Works like a charm.

It sounds like we're on the same page mesoptafel about how to create map files in "My Route App" and import/export and convert same to Sygic using ITN conv. it works great. My biggest problem
is getting around that annoying and distracting >return to missed way point or portion of a route < thing. This is similar to the way my Garmin operates. Joe said he taps the screen and is given an option to skip a missed way point on (Sygic 15.4.10) I tried this am on my Acer 8 in.Tab A1-850. My Sygic is vers.15 but no luck. Sygic support doesn't seem to have an answer either Is there any setting I can use to solve this problem?

I also use MyRoute (Gold) to create the route on my PC. Then use the MyRoute Gold app on my Android phone to open it. After it is open, I can click the Nav arrow in MyRoute and it sends the route to Sygic Premium. No need to convert. It really works great.
I think the "skip waypoint" feature is brand new, with the latest update (got it within the last week if I remember correctly) as I didn't see that pop up previously. Maybe they are rolling it out to other platforms as well...at least we can hope!

This behavior (not letting go of a skipped waypoint) is not unique to Sygic. CoPilot has the same issue, and it is TERRIBLE about it. If you read their forums, users have been complaining for at least 3 years. CoPilot keeps giving the same canned BS answer, nothing changes. I also tried MapFactor, it does the same. In either of those 2 you can stop it by opening the route edit mode and removing the skipped waypoint. But you have to stop travelling if you want to do it safely, it requires a lot of steps. That was the final straw for me with CoPilot. After suffering with it for 3 years, I gave up and moved to Sygic.

Yea without the skip waypoint feature Sygic is almost useless unless you stay exactly on track. It appears ver. 15.4.10 is not yet available for Sygic car. Support is saying that there's no difference between the two, well obviously that's certainly not the case. I'm going to stay on this Sygic techy expert, hopefully soon they'll give an update or a refund.
At this rate I might just as well go back to the Garmin. Thx. for the tip about the Nav arrow that'll save me a step with ITN conv.

I am just trying to investigate if there is a good alternative for my garmin2720 for my android phone. I still use my garmin for routes.

I am able to create a route in MyRouteApp, save and convert it and load in Sygic.
I tried the tapping om a waypoint on my screen. It is Sygic 15.5.2.
When the route is on the screen (before navigating) I tapped on a waypoint. A small cross appeared. When I tapped it the waypoint was deleted and the route was recalculated.
When I am following the route it is also possible to tab a waypoint and remove it.
So the remove-option is available in Sygic 15.5.2
