    help [Solved] Maps for all US states not loading on Sygic Truck

    I am running Sygic Truck 13.5.0 on my android phone. I have tom tom maps for all 50 US states loaded just the same but when I run the app, only the states of Georgia and Michigan show up as available. It is not clear to me why it randomly pics those two states to load and ignores the rest. Any advice?

    Nr.1 you should be using Here Maps and Not TomTom maps.

    Nr.2 post your content.info file here so we can see what you have.

    You have to use Truck maps for it to work correctly..........

    This is what the content.info should look like:

    [PRODUCT:SygicTruck]
    name=SygicTruck
    tts=yes
    sdk=yes
    truckAttr=yes
    premiumPOI=yes
    exPostals=yes
    3dContent=yes
    speedProfiles=yes
    junctionView=no
    naviType=pedestrian,car,truck
    speedcam=SCDB:WORLD:2020.03
    maps=NT:WORLD:2020.03 <---------------------Here maps

    A small correction, if I understood the problem.

    2020.03 is the base for SCDB. Then you will see HERE maps for America, because for America 2016.12

    You mistakenly entered the same number of bases SCDB.

    For all HERE maps, shortest text, should look like this

    [PRODUCT:SygicTruck]
    name=SygicTruck
    tts=yes
    sdk=yes
    truckAttr=yes
    premiumPOI=yes
    exPostals=yes
    3dContent=yes
    speedProfiles=yes
    junctionView=no
    naviType=pedestrian,car
    speedcam=SCDB:WORLD:2020.03,EXTEUR:2017.09,NAMERICA:2016.12
    maps=NT:WORLD:2015.06,NT:NAMERICA:2014.12,NT:MEX:2014.12

    Hi Brown Dog,

    In regards to the date 2020.03 I have always edited the content.info to a date in the future.

    Thats why when I updated my maps I do not have to edit the content.info every time.

    I also do that for the std Sygic app also.

    Have never run into any problems doing this.

    When you look at the speedcam they are set in the future also.

    This my content.info for SygicTruck

    [PRODUCT:SygicTruck]
    name=SygicTruck
    tts=yes
    sdk=yes
    truckAttr=yes
    premiumPOI=yes
    exPostals=yes
    3dContent=no
    speedProfiles=yes
    junctionView=yes
    naviType=pedestrian,car,truck
    speedcam=SCDB:WORLD:2020.03
    maps=NT:WORLD:2020.09

    and the screen shot of the map I have installed

    5dfiS2S

    As you can see putting the date in the future works with no problems at all.

    I also turned off 3dContent=no

    Maps load faster. No need for 3D buildings.........

    Your content.info work only for one continent. But the maps are from the same quarter of the year. If you use your content.info file, SygicTruck will not see N. America maps. You can check. All the best.

    Brown Dog posted tom tom maps are "better" to use with this app: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    My content file looks like this:

    @ netabc,

    I quote Sygic:

    HIGHLIGHTS
    - High quality Nokia maps stored on the device aka Here maps not TomTom.

    Reason:
    Navteq maps aka Here Maps have more info in them because they are made for Sygic Truck.

    Info like low bridges, narrow streets a truck would have problems driving down.
    Where you can drive if you have hazardous material on board.
    Speed limit restrictions
    Places you can get Truck fuel, etc etc etc.

    TomTom maps do not have this info........
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    To Brown Dog,

    I add in the US info in content.info with the date set in the future

    All works OK........

    Thanks for pointing out the info about the US as I do not use these maps.

    Thanks for the help! I had to wait until I had a fast internet connection to download the "Here Maps". I just loaded it up and it seems to be working better. Some snags but I have not had a chance to review it all yet.

    I may have some more questions later but for now I just wanted to say Thank You!
