Question Reason of crashing Sygic while planning a route...?

    Hi guys,

Sygic crashes automatically when it tries to plan a route... Otherwise it runs without problem, no crash at start or when searching through the map(s), only when planning..

    Could someone help?

    Thanks in advance,

Tried to download a other Apk and other Sygic folder (perhaps corrupt) ??

    To which device?
    Which Android version?
    Rom Stock or not Stock?

I don't think there are magicians in this Forum ...

Well, I don't know whether the files were from different sources (I don't think so actually)...

    It's a Nexus 5
    Android 5.1
    Stock rom (rooted)

    Still thanks for your comment..

I meant corrupt files while downloading (not so rare it to happen ...) .

    Thanks in advance,
I have the exact same problem !

I've tried serveral things without any luck:

    • Removing map & download/install it again
    • Removing Sygic application including app data

See the video below. I have recorded this on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (n910f, Android 5.0.1, rooted)

.......but the device has enough RAM so that you can run the software?

The bottom line here is that there will be reliability issue with any of the GPS app.
Be it on your phone or tablet.

There is no way you can trust this app or any other on the market today.

In my view they all have a long way to go before you can trust them to take you on a 4 hour plus trip.

You phone or tablets are not made to be stuck in the windscreen for the sun to beat down one them hour after hour.

The best bet is to get a standalone GPS unit.
Be it Garmin or TomTom or any other one out there.

They work every time because they only have to do one basic thing.
Get you from point A to Point B with out crashing.

It will make your driving a lot safer and more relaxing.

Having to stop to reset your phone each time the GPS app screws up is not by any means a way to drive.

You have enough to keep track of while you are driving.

Like I said, I have the Samsung Note 4. This device has 3 GB RAM and it has worked before! I'm using Sygic for 4 years now (Note 1, Note 2, Note 3, Note 4). So it happens after an update.

But its seems they have fixed it on their latest version (v15.2.5) (2015/05/28) !

It looks like you need a new and better phone
