    Guide How to Install Latest Sygic with the Map of the World on External SD Card

    Following steps were followed on andoid mobile, Jellybean ROM, rooted. I used Root Explorer to extract and move files.

    Step 1
    get all your maps and app from this url
    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Step 2
    Connect your phone to PC in USB File Sharing mode. Copy the gps zip file and the apk into your internal phone memory. If you are installing the TripAdvisor Addon copy that zip on there aswell.

    Step 3
    Once its on there extract the zip file into the SDCard folder (also known as SDCard0 in RAW system) of your system. If you are installing TripAdvisor Addon extract that folder also and merge the folders that you extracted with the folders you extracted from the original zip files (three folders will need merging, Android, Maps and Res). Install the apk by enabling 3rd party apps in settings but don't run the app.

    Step 4
    Move the maps folder to externalSD/Sygic/Maps. This is the storage path of the Maps on your SD Card. If you are doing the whole world you'll probably need about 14gb of free space. Move the whole world map into this folder on your SD Card.

    Step 5
    Edit the settings.ini file in the folder SDCard/Sygic/Android/settings.ini. Go these lines.

    ; Path to folder with Maps
    m_strSetMapPath=/../Maps

    ; Path to folder with Content Informations (content.info, content.lic, footprint.info)
    m_strSetContentPath=/../Maps

    Here change the path to your external SD. So instead of "/../Maps" for me was this /../../../externalSD/Sygic/Maps.

    Step 6
    Run Sygic and enjoy free World GPS Map on your mobile android

    content.lic file will convert the app to trial and will appear in the phone when you download maps with WiFi. You must use the PC downloader. Delete content.lic file

    Is there any chance we can do this for SYGIC TRUCK 13.2.7 or 13.5.3

    Samsung Tablet 3 NON-Rooted

    I tried steps above but it immediately activates TRIAL...

    Any fix for NON-rooted devices???

    I manage to get iGO working from extSDCard but not SygicTruck...

    1. I moved Map folder
    2. Edited settings.ini (changed path)
    - It does not work, it immediately activates Trial and offer trial maps form 2014.09

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    This is the version I am trying to force to use SD card

    I have never had any problems installing any of Sygic's apps be it driving or truck on an External SD card.

    I even have both Sygic and SygicTruck on the same tablet running with no problems at all.

    I never use or install original apps.

    Always a patched version of it.

    I only put the patched version in the root of the SD card and install from there.

    I add what maps I need and off I go.

    I have never changed any settings and can use the latest maps for both Sygic v15.4.14 and SygicTruck v13.5.3.
    The same for v14.3.4 of Sygic.

    I have Samsung Tablet, Asus Tablets Acer phones and Samsung Phone. Both Rooted and Non Rooted.

    @Texas,

    This is what the Sygic Website tells you to do for v4.3 and for v4.4 and higher.

    NO the latest maps that work are v2015.03 for v14.3.4.
    There are no new TomTom Maps for this version.

    help

    I tried everything...

    As for 13.5.3 I did the following:

    1. Downloaded Google Play
    2. Tried replacing with my content.info and other files
    IT KEEPS REJECTING - TRIAL PERIOD EXPIRED

    Version 13.2.7
    --------------------
    This version is not from Google Play but I installed from SD...it displays message that it has to be run from internal memory. This I can crack but only works from internal memory

    I guess maybe AURA works but Truck no

    How did you install your Truck version, can you share your info or even app + base folder? Did you use Google PS or off line method?

    Is there any way I can install SYGIC TRUCK without using Google Play and from SD card?

    IS YOUR SAMSUNG TAB ROOTED?

    @chambers @Brown Dog @pablototal

    EDIT: I HAVE DONE IT

    Non-Rooted Samsung tablet, it just moved Sygic Truck to a SD card. I played with SDK and it worked

    I have found another way for Sygic to work on devices with Lollipop on external SD Card, in my case HTC One M9.

    Copy your Sygic folder to the external SD Card, install everything what you need and put apk on external SD Card but not in a folder.
    Now install your apk and that's it.
    In case if you have new version of Sygic just install over the old version, run and wait to download some files from Play Store and that's it!

    Same thing with SygicTruck, always install apk from external SD Card but must to know is that SygicTruck folder you can find on your external SD Card in Android / data/ com.sygic.truck / files / SygicTruck
    Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.
