For some reason I can't get the 'LIKE this post' to work anymore.
Tried Firefox, Chromium (fresh install no ad or script blockers) and Qupzilla, all which used to work in the past.
I made sure any ad-blockers, script-blockers were disabled in Firefox etc. & tried again but it just won't work, tried clicking it on several different posts including posts in this thread but no luck.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

EDIT: forgot to mention, the LIKE button/text always shows, it just does nothing if I click it.
EDIT 2: I request that the 'require likes to see content' option is removed or at least not set as on by default like it is now.
It is very annoying having to like a post just to see the text it contains.

I don't know what is wrong for you, but all is working for others.
Hide button is not default because a user to hide links or text must put it between hide tags otherwise nothing is hidden.
It's the user's choice to put a content hidden.

    Thanks for replying Catymag,
Yes it's been working ok for me up until the last few days too and I can't figure out why all of a sudden now it's not.
It did work for me with one post of many attempts yesterday but when I tried to like another post in the same thread it wouldn't work.
Just tried to like your post above and nothing happens when I click it.
When I click Go Advanced replying to a post I noticed the 'Require likes to see content' is always checked.
I always uncheck it before I post & thought it was the default setting as being on, apologies for that.
If I figure out what is causing the issue for me I'll post it here.

restored "Require Likes to see content" in this post and as you can see everything is visible, unless you put a content into HIDE tags with H button in editor.

I would definitely try clearing cache and cookies on any of the browsers that are giving you problems. You can use the built-in methods or a program such as CCleaner to do that. I have seen a lot of bizarre issues with web browsers that were related to cache corruption and clearing cache entirely returned things to normal. You could try just clearing cache first and if that doesn't work then also clear cookies.
But check first if you have javascript enabled, if your antivirus or antimalware updated recently, may be there is something disabling it.
I think the option to disable JavaScript was removed from the Firefox Options window. I rarely use FF, I mostly use Slimjet browser, simpler and lighter.
However, the option to disable JavaScript was not removed from Firefox entirely. You can still access it from about:config or by installing an add-on.
    about:config
In the address bar, type "about:config" (with no quotes), and press Enter.
Click "I'll be careful, I promise"
In the search bar, search for "javascript.enabled" (with no quotes).
Right click the result named "javascript.enabled" and click "Toggle". JavaScript is now disabled.
To Re-enable JavaScript, repeat these steps.
    Addon:
You can test/enable/disable javascript selectively in different sites you browse with this extension:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links

It's started working correctly today using the Qupzilla browser, if I Like a post it now works as it should.
Javascript is enabled in the 3 browsers I tried.
Yes I agree with the reasons for cache clearing etc. and did try that in FF.
I also tried creating a new profile as sometimes in browsers an old profile may over time become corrupted & cause issues.
I use only Linux operating systems, currently Debian 8.6 Stable (Jessie) so no antivirus, antimalware or CCleaner.
I've tried Slimjet in the past and liked it, it's a nice fast browser but it's closed source software which I try to avoid, I find Qupzilla faster than Chromium, Firefox or Slimjet.
Thank you again for the help.
