Default GPS 76 getting wavepoints off?

Hello, I have an OLD GPS 76 and I would like to get the wavepoint off so that I can move to my new 546s. I have homeport and mapsource loaded but I cannot seem to get either to see the unit through the serial cable. I have updated in with the latest firm and know that I can see it that way, but neither will see this unit so I can get the wave points off.

Would anyone have any suggestions on how I may do this?

    Thanks in advance,
    stimpy2300

In Mapsource check your settings in Edit -> Preferences -> Transfer. Then start Transfer -> Receive From Device and see if you can find your GPS on dropdown list.
    Thanks, Kanopus

once I selected your GPS from a supplied list it will configure the serial port and your GPS will be able to talk to PC-
    vmqc5c
you will be able to type in waypoints and very quickly send them to the GPS and vice a versa

You can use NT maps but in c320 the system cant display the 3d- maps (use mapinstall)
a user reported to have installed the new cneunt 2011.1 no 3d unlocked and it is working fine on c320
so you can surely use 2 gb sd, I donnow if it supports more- try bro

I have already tried 4 gb and it does not work hence all the questions as I don't have any small cards to hand (boy is that frustrating)
I will get a 2 gb card today and test some maps

Update I got a 2 gig card today, loaded SE Asia V4.5, Thailand V10.1 English and IndoChina on it as one Gmapsupp.img
Worked great now I have 10 maps all working, even if 2 of them are Thailand.
Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam on the IndoChina
Hong Kong, Machu, Indoniesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand on the SE Asia 4.5
The unit is a little bit slow to find the sat compared to the modern Nuvi's, but it works well.
I recovered it as it had a broken input socket and no memory card set me back 7 Euro's, so not to bad for Garmin sat nav, that's now is fully working.
    Once again thanks Cat
    Happy it sunny Thailand
