Do you have "locked" in Gmaptool "Details" log ?
    For example:
    Code:

    Hi,
I was wondering whether there is a difference when 'unlocking' topo maps with different tools. All tools (gimgtools, Fast IMG Unlocker) clearly unlock maps, but not all unlocked topo maps are correctly displayed in Base Camp. For example, using Fast IMG Unlocker v1.5 the map is unlocked and displayed in Base Camp on a SD card (but not with Fast IMG Unlocker v2.1). Also with gimgtools the map is unlocked but won't display in Base Camp.
I found gimgtools was the only tool the unlock CN Europe 2014.10 and display it on a gps 62st.

Why is the unlocked map using gimgtools not displayed in Base Camp?

Fast IMG unlocker is old don't use it as written in its thread. Use gimgunlock from starting post.
The difference isn't in unlockers but in MS flag in img.

    Incredible!
Wu Yongzheng is the absolute genius that developed this wonderful program. I wanted to include the contents from his README file, found on his website
    Code:

that explain the two other files contained within the archive offered for download. Since there are no instructions or explanations with the archive (rar file), I add them here.

gimgtools is a set of command-line tools to examine and manipulate Garmin IMG (the map format) files. The tools are:

    * gimgunlock: Unlock a locked map so that it can be used on ALL devices. There is no need to specify your device ID or map keys. It works by decrypting the TRE sections, since the encryption key is also stored in the maps!
    Usage: gimgunlock map.img
If you like Garmin, please buy their map!

    * gimgxor: Some maps have been scrambled by a trival XOR algorithm. They do not work with other gimg* tools. You can use gimgxor to unscramble them.
    Usage: gimgxor map.img

=== The following tools are for reverse engineering only ===

    * gimginfo: Print information of the map.
    Usage: gimginfo map.img

    End COPY/PASTE~
    /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

    @FullClip
Check you are following the instructions from Post #1 for correct usage of Mac OS X version of gimgunlock v0.03:

Usage: unzip, open a Terminal window and use either method below to unlock.

    method 1:
    enter the command below
    "pathname-of-gimgunlock" "pathname-of-img-file-of-map"
    hit return to run

    method 2:
drag the icon of gimgunlock to the Terminal window
drag the icon of img file of map to the Terminal window
    hit return to run
I know next to naught about mac OS, but can you run as Administrator? Perhaps it's a privileges problem with your user profile?
