    @bipadoob
    Depends what you mean by 'not working'. Have you confirmed you in fact have the correct file for your unit and that it's seen by the device? Remove any other JCV files from the unit and card leaving only the PH jcv file in either .System/JCV folder on unit or Garmin/JCV folder on card. Press and hold the battery symbol on the top right of main screen for several seconds to access the hidden screen>Back>Start Test>More. On the Inventory page look about two-thirds of the way down the screen to see if the PH jcv is listed, if it's listed it's working.

    The are comparatively few jcv images. Do a simulation from a large city along a major freeway. Press the upper left corner of the navigation screen [the turn arrow] to be able to scroll thru the route. When you seen the words 'Junction View' at the base of the screen go bright press on them to see the preview picture.

    Now I see the problem, I place the philippines.jcv file on the wrong location. I put it on "Garmin nuvi G: / JCV / philippines.jcv". I can't find the .system folder (folder options is set to show hidden files).

    Edit: Have been able to access the .system folder. Will put the JCV and gmapprom files inside .system with their respective folders.

    Edit 2: It's now working properly, thanks to sir @Neil for the instructions and sir @syzygy for the garmin asian jcv tool. :D

    Are JCV's supposed to work in half screen or full screen?

    It depends on the firmware of your model. Most of them can display split screen only. Some let you select between split screen and full screen.

    Thanks. Can I use JCV if I have a 3790 US unit here in the Philippines? I know that you can patch the maps but I'm reading the 3790 doesn't display it properly?

    I assume you want to use City Navigator Philippines with JCV on a US 3790. From Neil's post #26, you will get a blank screen for JCV. But it should work just fine if you convert your 3790 to a 3490. Search forum for how to convert.

    That's totally correct in my experience, US/EU 3790 are incapable of using Asian files original or patched. My [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] displays patched Asian JCV perfectly.

    @kevindd992002
    Be aware of the possibility of quite unacceptable satellite accuracy post-conversion as reported with some units though. Best read the thread before converting so you can weigh up the pros and cons: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    Thanks. Yeah, I think I was able to convert it to a 3490 before and the accuracy of the road distances is just unacceptable.

    Do you guys mean that my US unit cannot use an original CN Philippines map? I've tried it before and if I'm not mistaken it works.

    Not at all, we're only saying that as a US 3790 it can't use any Asian JCV files. The maps will work normally.
