Tested and everything seems to be working fine on Windows 8.1 Pro X64
I'm not sure if this is really a BaseCamp question, or an unlocking question, or ... but -
How do I get around printing restrictions in BaseCamp?
Specifically, I have the US Topo 100K v5 img on a virtual SD. BaseCamp finds and displays it just fine, but doesn't allow printing.
It does allow printing 24K Topo maps and US Topo 100K 2008, but I have those as GDB format, not IMGs.
In order to be able to print maps using Basecamp you have to buy the DVD version of the software. The SD card is made to be used mainly on the unit only. The print function with the DVD works fine but with the SD card it will not work
You have to navigate to get to the good.

Ahh ... so for example I can view, but not print from a CNNA.img on the virtual drive, or I can view and print from the same map as a .gmap collection (DVD version).
Would taking the Topo .img and converting it with gmaptool do anything for me? Or would I just be wasting my time?
If you split with gmaptool (Split Files for for Mapsource). you will be able to print.
Run Install.bat to install map in PC
Need Cgpsmapper free installed for preview map compilation.
Adress Search does not work.
Poi Search works.
