With all the other things that are wrong or not working with GE.

They took the time to add:

Added a new feature that allows users to purchase map updates from within Garmin Express.

Like that was really needed at this time.

They need to fix the problems once and for good.
Not play around with adding more problems to GE.........

I know 'next-to-nothing' about programming, but could it be that they really badly screwed up the source code initially and it's intrinsically unstable? It may explain the many band-aid fixes we've been seeing .... and how many more to come i wonder. I only continue to use it directly with under-warranty devices or usb stunt double/nuvi clones and then it's only because of my 'can't tear my eyes from the disturbing train wreak scene' mentality. WU and MU combination is best if you dislike playing with fire for the immediate future in Garmin device updating .....

And i agree absolutely that they should fix the existing problems before adding in extra stuff. To me, the 'feature' enabling internally purchased map updates is akin to cramming a high-end Alpine stereo into your Mamma's clapped-out hand-me-down VeeDub [just 'cos you can]. Sorry Garmin, but you simply can't polish a , really guys you can't!
