There were some problems with the 2.3.10.0 version for Window XP-SP3 users.
Is this repaired with the new 2.3.12 version ? (I have no XP anymore)

Seems Like there is no option to Download Maps to Computer ?
    Any Comments ?
I also found the same experience when I updated from GE 2.2 to 2.3 yesterday. The 'Download Maps to PC' option is no longer available. Is this true or am I not looking in the right setup? I gave up and reverted back to 2.2. Any inputs would be appreciated.

I think they are gradually fixing this ... maybe it will be safe to use eventually? It's certainly fast, much faster than MU.

...strange and lucky experiences with Garmin Express 2.3.14.0....

I became aware of Garmin Express only a few days ago and installed it under Win7 32bit.

I connected a nüvi 1200 which I have bought almost three years ago and which I did use regularely. Garmin Express proposed to update Timezone Map and Database For FM Traffic Providers and - very very strange!!! - CN Europe 2014.30 Central and Eastern Europe. But that nüvi never had a lifetime maps update option!

I did download the map to the pc and it came with a valid unlock key, FID 3122, PID 1, Region ID 1, Vendor ID 16

Then I tried a nüvi 1255 and a nüvi 1450, both without lifetime map update also and for both Garmin Express offered to update the maps to CN Europe 2014.30 full coverage!

I suppose that this is a bug for I cannot imagine that Garmin is giving map updates for free. Lets hope that they do not fix this bug!

The Nuvi Must have had a Lifetime Maps for this to happen or maybe it's unitid has changed to one that has.

GE is only a client side application and the LifeTime Maps Eligibility or (One Time Upgrade Eligibility) is recorded on the server.
A bug could not cause this phenomenon ! there must be a logical explanation.
Go to My Dashboard with the nuvi connected to see if it does indeed have Lifetime Maps.

I suppose you are a very lucky man to have three devices without lifetime maps updated with GE for free, finally a "bug" that works in user's favor ...

to dasilvarsa: I connected the 1255 and run My Dashboard: "...you started actualisation of a map but did not finish, change to the map you have downloaded or download once more..." No more information....
