    Ah, being a C/C++/Assembler programmer, this looks so familiar to me...

    People, don't blame those poor guys. Life is tough to them already. Better send your prayers to God. (to Shiva, not your local one).

    @kunix
    I'm guessing you don't mean us to offer our prayers to Shiva as 'The Destroyer', but as Patron God of Yoga or the Arts .... but then again, maybe ....? Software engineering/programing sure isn't yoga in the physical sense [mentally, certainly!], and surely more a craft than an art. Science even, for some like you for instance. But for the Garmin software-wranglers, i'm going with Shiva the Destroyer/Transformer: 'Oh Lord Shiva, I beseech thee to enter into the minds and souls of the poor tormented programmers responsible for creating the horrific malicious program known perversely as 'GarminExpress' which has been innocently but ineptly created to bring pestilence and swarms of locusts to it's naive trusting users. If you cannot find it in your heart to transform this program into something less vicious, then please simply destroy it .....' and so on. How'd'ya think that'll go down? Was that loud bang and flash of light from the direction of Olathe Kansas?

    Has anybody tried 2.3.10.0? It seems to have tumbled out after 2.3.9.0 with indecent haste, what have they fixed or attempted to fix now?

    @Giomen
    You object to being an unacknowledged and unrewarded beta tester i assume. But at least you know, have pity for the great unwashed for them ignorance is bliss .....

    Express 2.3.10.0 works Fine !

    Since 2.3.9.0 Languages are now updated in a different manner. When you update English language it sends you a "pack" of all the English Voices and any other files needed for the English language on your Nuvi. Once the Language has been updated it is no longer available for download on the list. If a new file becomes available it will be downloaded as an update. The same happens for other languages.
    This seems to be a waste of bandwidth but it does ensure that you have the correct files on your Nuvi.

    The program is also very fast, I haven't checked but it probably opens multiple ports to Garmin servers.
    So far so Good, I cannot report any brickings! I have not seen any bugs!
    Basecamp was ridiculed for a long time as well by Mapsource stalwarts but it seems to have survived nevertheless.
    Garmin Express will also survive because fundamentally the concept is good. A 11mb program that does the job of multiple previous programs.

    It now warns you Not to Disconnet your Nuvi in a new Green Bar at the top of the window.
    It says It's safe to walk away but do not disconnect your device.
