    Garmin today released the corrected 4.0.2 version of BaseCamp.

    Yes just the installer is changed probably, no need to reinstall if user doesnt have problems with maps displaying.
    Probably patched version will work with it too.

    I compared the old update (as of September 27, 2012) with the new update (as of October 2, 2012) - full match! (MD5 : BE3FDAF9EF88340178709CDD7318CE14)

    i didn't have any problems before & i don't have now with the new version using patched exe in both cases.

    At all events, FALAGAR reports that they fixed the 4.0.2 installer. It should be safe to update. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    BaseCamp remove the entry in the register maps. The error is not corrected.

    Will the posted "Patched" version still work regardless of any, so-called, "Fixes" to the installer from garmin ?

    Yes, rider (announce) was running before the horse (uploading) Right now I downloaded again and see that the file was updated! But do not check for working right now!

    P.S. The flight is normal, for the nearest targets at least!
