weel Protected Garmin file Toolkit (ex CyclopsSafetyCamera Tools)

Protected Garmin File Toolkit (ex. Protected GPI File Toolkit (ex. CyclopSafetyCamera Tools))

Here is a little C# application that gives you the information of protected GPI file (like cyclop safety camera, Tour guides, ...) and protected map file (IMG) (no matter the size as it use 64 bits pointer !).
It give you the ability to unprotect both protected file.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Usage : Use the "Load file to open an Protected GPI or IMG file" or just drag and drop the protected garmin file(s) on it.

When using the FID700 / FID900 / Unlock, a new file will be created in the same folder as the original file, and will be named : [original]_fid700.gpi [original]_fid900.gpi [original]_unlock.gpi
It has been made with the information found on this post, so credit are not for me (or just for having made an exe file :p).

Here are the link for the latest version (2.0.0.4 / 25-08-2012) :

Protected Garmin file toolkit2004_x64.zip [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Protected Garmin file toolkit2004_x86.zip [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Note : .net 4.xxx required.

    Have fun using it.

Talking CyclopsSafetyCamera Tools v1.0.0.1 updated + x64 version

Here is an updated version (1.0.0.1) of CyclopSafetyCamera :

x86 version (C# + .net 4.x) : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
x64 version (C# + .net 4.x) : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

x86 version (C# + .net 3.5) : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    x64 version (C# + .net 3.5) : coming soon ...

    Corrected :

    - multiple save make the file bigger and bigger rather than just overwrite it. (thx too fringe, who found the bug)

Note : by clicking on "Change Id's" you can put whatever you want for all 4 fields (FID, PID, RgnID and VenID) ; was the case for the 1.0.0.0 version too.

As i haven't the right to post links or images, if a moderator can change the three links... would be appreciated.

    Cheers

It's a useful tool, but now the title of this confuses ...
    Why only 'Cyclop...' now?

That's how it would be more correct, for example:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Sorry for the intrusion ...

    @CNFHBR
    Yes you're 100 % right.
Will rename it. (was on my todo list).

The only reason why the name is Cyclop... is simply because I developed the tools especially for that particular files (hating changing the id's for cyclop files manually or with the vbs..).
As I haven't tested it on other protected gpi file, I thought to get less complaint about other files :p
Anyway, will post soon a renamed tool (less confusing): “Protected GPI file toolkit”

Now much better! Thanks for the useful Tool!
The single remark that displaying of Description for the various GPI files isn't always correct (with shifts) in the 'Compilation Date and Description' fields. Now it is more or less correctly for the 'Cyclops...' only.
Besides, the text delimiters (EN, FR, IT, RU etc.) shall not be shown, this is overhead information on what language to start the next line.
However, it is a trifle of course ...

    @CNFHBR

Like your comment : it make the product better and better

So, here is a new version of Protected GPI file Toolkit :

    What's new :
    - if a non protected file is given (GRMREC00 for exemple) an error message box will appear
    - added more fields (like codepage, signature, product name...)
    - added a clear form button

Tested with some protected guide tour gpi files (CZ GPSTravelGuide_full ; D0469000C ; MPFullEurope ; cyclop ).

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Here are the link to download.

Protected GPI file toolkit 1.1.0.0 x86 : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Protected GPI file toolkit 1.1.0.0 x64 : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    Pre-requisit :

    You will need .net 4.xx

If you need a version for older .net, or need more functionalities just pm me.

Hope you will like that brand new version.

    Cheers

Unfortunately, the last update is stopped working with many GPI files that are created by means of GPI Creator. An error of type 'Uncaught exception in the application ...' appears.

I have uploaded some [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for testing.

Note: Take no notice of 'mojibake' in the Description of files in Russian because the GPI Creator doesn't support the CP1251 so far ...
