This version was released to fix problems with downloading CNNANT 2014.40.
That was the problem. I was trying to download CNNANT 2014.40 with Garmin Map Updater 3.1.20 and it would always cause an error. With this new version, I can download CNNANT 2014.40 without an error. Thanks for pointing this out.

Also, you guys that mentioned a virtual SD, is there a problem that can emulate a virtual SD like the various virtual drive programs out there or are you talking about using a flash/pen drive?

Oh, and where did you find the changelog for that version of Garmin Map Updater. I can't find the webpage that discusses that program on garmin's website.

I don't think a "Mapupdater" page still exists, since Garmin released Express.
File is on server at known old address.

You're welcome. The irony here is that I actually was able to download 2014.40 using 3.2.2 and Garmin goes and releases an update to fix problems downloading the very map I downloaded with the old version.

I had the same problem as you, I contacted Garmin's support and he asked to use the Mapupdater, as they recognized the Gps, found the map update and I believe updated the gps lifetime map because the sequence connected the garmin gps on express and updated the map

Anyone else had this mandatory uninvited update when using earlier versions lately?

    MU3120

    Then you get this:

    MU3330
I wonder how long before it insists on downloading GarminExpress instead. MU will probably go the way of LifetimeUpdater i guess.
