That was a quick update! What did you need to change? Something simple like changing a 0 to a 1?

I know that v1.9 fixed the problem with the Fast IMG Unlocker and 2011.40.

But what was it that Garmin did to make v1.8 not work ? Are they working on a new locking scheme or tweaking the existing one ?

    Thanks

I used v1.9 (I downloaded from here) for Europe NT 2011.30 (several times). It just deletes the img file. It disappears - not even in trash bin. Good thing I made a backup copy. What gives?

It' clearly written in program imstructions to make a backup copy of your locked img, coz FIU transform the locked map in an unlocked map, but probably you closed the command window before it finished to work-

I'm very new to all this. It looks like this is an easier solution to unlocking than eg jetmouse. Are there any disadvantages? Any reason why I should use Jetmouse or one of the more complicated unlocking solutions?
    cheers, dave

no advantages in using JM, but it wont work in your device if you have a new firmware that needs a .gma file too

This looks like a great tool .
    To confirm:
Will I be able to unlock a g2 vision and install on a 521s without knowing the sd card id#?
    Thanks

Yes, that's why I made backup copies.
But no; I did not close the command window. I tried 3 times. It always finished and closed it's window itself - and poof; off goes the map file.
I have webroot antivirus running in the background. I wonder if it intervened. But it didn't warn or ask me anything.
