    have you read the note?
If you run a 64 bit os it will unlock also Garmin GB Discoverer 150K Full Coverage IMG and maps with big IMGs (Garmin Unlocker will need 3GB memory to work) with other oses you can try 3GB Switch (link in post one)

I have slowly been beating my brains out using other tools and scripts till I stumbled across this.

I cannot say thank you enough.

Now to work out how to unlock the maps in MapSource and I'm set.

    which was duly found here

I am experiencing some difficulties with maps with ID>2200.

In fact I transfer the map to the hard disk folder where I have the fast IMG unlocker v1.5. I change the name of the img file and then run the unlocker.

Afterwards I copy this unlocked file to the SD card of my Oregon 450.

Everything is OK if the files are small, say 4-5 files of CN 2011Europe. But when I try a whole country (say 200 MB) the GPS just does not read it properly.

My OS is Windows 7 and the Gps is garmin Oregon with sw 3.62. I have upgraded or downgraded the SW but this does not seem to help.

Is there any kind of limitation as to how many img files can be unlocked? Any issue with their size?

With Topospain v4 I have had a weird experience. The file has been unlocked and then it has disappeared (just deleted). The original size was 1,6 GB and then the file has just a 0-size and then vanished.

Any idea what this can be?

When i start the fast img unlocker it only open a cmd window and there it says the directory where the gmapsupp.img lies and the nothing happens.
Both files lie in the same directory and everthing dont know what wrong.

The map im trying to unlock is "friluftskartan pro hela sverige"

Having a problem with "CN North America NT 2011.10" from a nuvi 265w
Fast IMG Unlocker 1.5 is not building my new image, I have a brand new nuvi 265w, I wanted to unlock the maps on it, and use the maps on my old nuvi which is a year old.
I suspect something is going on with gmt.exe inside of Fast IMG Unlocker 1.5,
This is the exact error I get from gmt.exe when i try to run gmt.exe...
Wrong Header (DSKIMG GARMIN), file split\CNNA_USC.MD2

everything is extracted ok when I manually use gmt.exe, but I cannot put the file back together.

I was (obviously) able to run the unlocker program. A dos box was opened, and I saw proceesing of the individual files. The pocess terminated with a newly generared file, with an identical name as the original one ("Natal to Buenos Aires gmapsupp.img") but with a different time stamp.
When I copy the file to an SD card, and try to import it in the GPS via the merge from card option, it seems like the card is empty. I can not see nor select the converted file.
Does anybody have an idea why this happens and how to solve?
thanks, Fred ..PS I tried to import on a brand new 521S unit with only a pre installed world basemap.

Koseno, on what device did you import? I manage to create a new file on my Pc, but can not import in my GPS Plotter

Put the img in the same folder run it and wait till it closes by itself and you'll have the new built img in the folder, let it work till the end of the process
