I need help on my Gpsmap 520s and I am trying to install the Garmin BlueChart g2 Vision Aegean Sea and Sea of Marmara (VEU015R) Locked version but with no results.
I unziped the files which I downloaded from here and the unziped file gmapsup.img with the Fast IMG Unlocker 2.1.exe in the same directory of the SD card and ran the unlocker from the sd card.
When the unlocker finished I deleted the unlocker and installed the sd card in the gps unit but I see no new map.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you...

Do you have the .img file inside a folder named Garmin?

The correct name is gmapsupp.img. If you put in gmapsup.img that could be your problem??? Also this img file must be in a Folder on the SD Card named Garmin.
This is how it works on Nuvi series so may be different on a 520?
Also did you go to Maps / Info and see if Map is selected there?

Dont run Fast IMG Unlocker 2.1 (dont use old versions) on the sd, run it on pc.
    Backup locked .img on pc.
Drag and drop the .img in FIU icon.
Wait it unlocks it ,untill closes itself.
Be sure your Bluechart is named correctly gmapsupp.img.
Copy it in a Garmin folder in sd

    Rino 520 ? gpsmap 520 ? be more precise.
    which map ?
Garmin .IMGs work on every Garmin device ,some with different features according to different models.

This tool just saved my new English China map 2011.11.
Before, I tried to unlock using JM, no luck. Also, the older Garmin Unlocker did not work with this map.
    Good job!

Great tool - thanks very much.

I had a small glitch running under Win XP Pro 32. My map was small and the processing actually completed very quickly, however, the 'Processing File' dialog stayed open permanently, so I though it was taking a long time to complete. I eventually closed the dialog and used the newly created unlocked file without a problem. Running under Win7 32 I did not see the same problem.

    Thanks again.

Yeah, funny one that. I have dual boot, winxp pro_32 & win7(but 64bit) and have got the same glitch occassionally with xp, but never on 7. Using xp and in a hurry, with large maps it's hard to know if it's actually fininshed unlocking and just stuck on the "processing file" dialog or not, so i just use win7. I assume it is a problem exclusive to xp, & interested to know if anyone has isolated the problem.

Can you move the Fast Image Unlocker Program into the Garmin Folder with the locked image right on the GPS unit itself?

Will it work like that or do you have to tun the FIU on the PC and then move the unlocked image onto the unit ?

It should work ,but dont do it, coz if something goes wrong your unit wont start and will stop at loading maps : you'll have to use a cure to restart it.
Use FIU in your pc please, it will be faster too.

@Neil&Jfath - You know FIU has finished when it closes itself, you'll see the countdown before closing.
    Use latest version
