    Many virus scanners are unable to scan compressed exe and give warning when detecting compression.

    You can check it on Virus total
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    you can unpack it and scan uncompressed files

    I like too this fast unlocker, but the result was same. At first usage of program my AVG did not said anything, but some days after first usage, in third or fourth time AVG said: Infection - Trojan horse FakeAV.KYP. This scan was done on uncompressed file, after my order to start unlocker. Please any comments!?

    I'm hesitant to use since I'm getting the same result, but since you've used it I feel a little better. Many programs that skirt security issues come up as a false positive.... but, more input indicating clean would be nice.

    I did as suggested and ran it through virustotals.com and AVG reports same, symantec reports bad, TrendMicro reports bad, most say nothing including some good ones, I think I'll take a pass.

    @i70
    I meant unpack the .exe file with UPX, not unrar .
    The file is clean, some scanners give false alarms, especially when they meet unlockers, keygens or cr acks.
    I suggest to use a reliable antvirus scanner, Microsoft Essential (free) or NOD32 eg.

    @catymag
    Thank you for your suggestions, I will try to use for unpacking UPX - this might have a point. Cause program does his work very well, I can suggest to myself and other people to use for safety the computer, which has no internet connection. Every fan of our hobby should have some kind of old Pentium at house.

    Okay, I fretted about the false virus alerts, but got out an old computer and ran it on a Garmin map file. It took awhile but worked beautifully. Moved file to Garmin SD card, works GREAT. No more jetmouse unlocking confusion. Most impressed, kudos to writer. Fast Unlocker is primo

    I tried to replace the gmapsupp.igm on my dakota's internal memory after using the 1.9 version unlocker and now it doesn't power up .I guess this is for sd card only. I wanted to mention in case someone else wanted to try this.
