    Post Changelog for BaseCamp v3.1.1

Changes made from version 3.0.6 to 3.1.1:
    • Added support for multiple new BirdsEye products.
    • Added support for sorting, searching, browsing and filtering user data.
    • Added support for ejecting devices from within BaseCamp.
    • Added support for filtering tracks.
    • Added support for display of track statistics and temperature.
    • Added support for time offsets while geotagging photos from tracks.
    • Added support for editing multiple waypoints, routes and tracks at a time.
    • Added support for importing geotagged photos.
    • Added support for full screen mode.
    • Added support for non-rectangular selection area for BirdsEye downloads.
    • Improved performance while importing, geotagging, autosaving and routing.
    • Improved support for various DPI settings.
    • Reduced memory required by BirdsEye imagery.

The installation package for BaseCamp v3.1.1 will also install MapInstall v3.14.3. That could possibly overwrite your patched MapInstall.exe (v3.14.2) if you had one copied to the MapInstall path. In that case you will need to reapply the MapInstall patched version again.

You will notice a few changes in the lower bottom half of BaseCamp after updating to version 3.1.1. Here are some pointers to get you started on using these new features. Note that all screenshots are of BaseCamp 3.1.1

    Searching
As you start typing the name of a data item you want to retrieve, the search box will suggest items that match the name you are typing. You can press Enter or choose it from the suggestions to select the item.

    Filtering
In the screenshot I have 89 data items, including multiple routes and waypoints. If i want to filter my list to show only routes. I would click on the button with the route icon to filter my list to show only routes.

    Sorting
In the screenshot, I have a page full of tracks and I want to find the track with the most number of track points. I would first filter my list to show just the tracks. This adds a few track specific columns to the list. I would then click on the column heading 'Points' to sort my tracks by the number of track points.

    Browsing
In the screenshot, I have a few tracks and I want to visually browse through the elevation profiles of these tracks. I would first bring up the elevation profile of one of the tracks in my list of tracks and then I can click on the Next or Previous button to switch to the elevation profile of other tracks.

I D/L the patched Basecamp and installed it and then tried to tun it.

I keep getting an error that reads: "This application failed to start because xerces-c_3_0.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem."

I tried redownloading it and reinstalling it several times and keep getting the same error message.

Has anyone got a copy of the missing xerces-c_3_0.dll file ?

    Thanks

This dll is included in original Garmin installation, run it first.
    Thanks, Kanopus

    Ahhh... I'll try it. Thanks

Nope.... that didn't do it. I still get that same error message.

The new unpatched Basecamp from Garmin runs fine, although it tells me several of my maps are "Locked".

this message appears if you dont replace the file in C:/programs/Garmin /Basecamp and you run it from desktop

    Instructions:

    Install the official BaseCamp v3.1.1.
rename BaseCamp.exe to something else in program folder(eg Basecamp non patched)
Copy the patched BaseCamp.exe to replace the original file in program folder

    Hi Catymag.

That did it ! I renamed the original and replaced it with the patched version inside the program folder and it started right up.

    Regards.
