I am stumped and out of ideas now. You said that you were able to successfully transfer the "onroute fietskaart NL 1.62" mapset via MapSource to the GPS, yet for the CNEUNT mapset, MapSource would not even recognize the GPS?

Have you try, as a test, selecting just one map segment/tile, any one from within the CNEUNT mapset, and try transferring that map to the GPS? If there is an existing CNEUNT v8 loaded in the GPS currently, there is no reason why v14 would not work. I'm puzzled...

[Edit] Is the eTrex VistaC software up to date (latest v2.70)? Try also reloading the USB driver to the latest version (v2.3).

    These can be found at:

the firmware in my eTrex VistaC is v2.7, I have reload the USB-drivers.

    Question:
-must I use for my GPS the NT-version ? (I don't no what the difference is between the NT and the non-NT)
I read in a other forum that some old GPS-systems could not work with the NT-version. Maybe is that me problem
-is it possible that I have download a wrong version, that can't be work for my GPS.
-I have a orginal DVD with CNEURNT9. If I install that map and I unlock it with "unlock mapsource v1.3.1" is that enough to make it working ?
now it gave the same result as v14.

Don't know. NT and non-NT maps are of different data formats and data compression algorithms I believe. Possible, but you can easily try downloading and testing with a non-NT mapset.

Not likely, but again you can try testing and see if it'll work.

For the moment, I don't have any more suggestions for you.

    Hi,

I have a problem trying to get Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2011.20 to work in my Garmin Oregon 300 GPS.

I did the installation of msi file, which installed the mapset and MapSource 6.16.2 on my computer. I used MapSource_v6.16.2_Patched. I put the patched file of MapSource.exe into the Garmin folder (C:\Garmin) replacing the old file with it. I also downloaded patched mapinstall.exe file and I replaced the old file (in C:\Garmin) with it. After that I used Garmin Unlock Generator 1.5 to generate me a code for the map. Everything worked fine and the map was successfully unlocked in MapSource. I am able to view the map in Mapsource and make routes in it. However, after I have transferred the map from MapSource to my sd-card in my GPS and I turn the power on I get an error message ďCanít Unlock MapsĒ.

After that I tried fast img unlocker_v.1.1. I moved the gmapsupp.img from the sd-card to my computer and put it in the same file as the unlocker. I ran the unlocker and I received a new gmapsupp.img file, which I moved to my sd-card. However, when I switched my GPS pack on I get the same error message.

I updated the firmware in my Garmin Oregon a while ago. I have previously had the old version of the map (Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2010.1 ) in my GPS and it has worked well. Maybe the new Garmin firmware is so sophisticated that I cant bypass it with the fast img unlocker.

Does anyone know if there is a solution to the problem? It seems that the problem is with the identification of the map file in my GPS, because the map is working fine in my PC, isnít that right?

Thanks for your message Catymag. That's just what I did. I unlocked the file using Fast IMG unlocker, and transferred the new file to my GPS, but it still does not work.

Yes, I copied it to the same directory, where the previous functioning map was also installed: (Removable Disk) G:\garmin\gmapsupp.img. I removed the old version first and installed the new version to replace that.
