    Hi all

I fricking hate all these upload sites, but i understand their necessity.

However, considering the necessity of the patched MapSource and MapInstall, would it not make sense to make them accessible on a number of different upload sites?

I am completely stuck because Cryptload is wank and unusable, and JDownloader for Windows is only hosted on one upload site and i cannot download anymore from them today (and i already have accounts on Rapidshare and dont want to create another).

So come on guys - if you are so determined to use these annoying DLC files, PLEASE create you own mirrors to the software that is necessary to use them???

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

I had MapSource working before (with 6.13.7 and 6.15.4) and was using the Garmin Topo Germany V3 and City Navigator Europe NT 2011.20. Not a problem I unlocked them in MapSource and could select part of the map, set waypoints and create tracks and routes and then transfer them to my Garmin Oregon 450. Not a problem at all. Now I updated it to 6.16.2 and used the Special as well. Still all the maps unlocked and I could create my stuff in MapSource, but when I copied everything to the Oregon, it first said transfer complete. So I took my Oregon outside and switched it on, then new error on the GPS itself. Can't unlock Maps and it switched back to the Basic World Map.

With the same Navi, the same map and an older version it worked, any explanations for that?

    Kind regards

    Marvin

if you have the new firmware you should need the GMA file to have your maps unlocked in your gps-

the solution is to send the map to your pc and unlock it with this

before copying it in your gps-

    Default Can't unlock maps

    Hey,

it worked. Seemed to be only a problem with really new maps, with Garmin Topo Germany v3 there wasn't a problem before.

I tried the Fast IMG Unlocker, created my map then transfered it onto my GPS and then copied it back to the computer, into the same folder als the unlocker and ran that. Then renamed (I read that with the new oregon series you could rename your gmapsupp into anything you liked, tho the oregon would still recognise it as a map) the file and copied it back onto the GPS. And it a) recognised the map even with a different name and b) could unlock it now.

So MapSource 6.12.2. Special works fine, but about the new Firmware, I had the new firmware installed and then used CN Europe NT 2011.20 with the old MapSource 6.15.4 and there it worked, after updating to 6.12.6 and applying the special patch the problem occured.

    Anyhow

Thanks for your help, was much appcreciated

    Hi everyone,

    I am new at this.
I have downloaded from this site on my computer and
    -installed the orginal Mapsource v6.16.2
-replaced the exe file from "MapSource_v6.16.2_Special"
    -install the map "City_Navigator_Europe_NT_2011.10_Mapsource_install"
-use "Garmin_kgen_1.5+Fix" to unlock the map.
-I try to use "UnLock MapSource v1.3.1", but nothing changed.

My GPS is a Garmin Etrex vista C

    everything works fine except.
    - When I select a card, and I want to sent this to my GPS, I can only make a choice between my disk's and there is no choice for my GPS.
When I want to receive for example tracks from my GPS to my computer, than I can make a choice between all my disks and my GPS-device.

What can I do to solve this problem.

your Mapsource looks like a not patched version-
Try to repatch it- The patch file must be placed in C:\Programs\Garmin and must overwrite the non patched one
