[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is in english , it lets you connect to a GPShandheld over USB or serial com port. It should get the unit ID and extract the files contained in the GMAPSUPP.img file stored in the GPS and save them to a folder of your choice.

You can also extract files from as GMAPSUPP.IMG file on PC or card. First you create a Map List, then select one or all files and start Map Extract. The original files will then be recreated in the folder you've chosen.

You could also extract POI files. See post n18

By opening a DOSwindow and giving the command "gpsdaemon.exe /e"

you enter Expert Level which allows you to send Hex data to the GPS over serial or USb. You can also set some parameters as well as packet headers.
'Full model': [gpsdaemon -full]. See post n 33/34

Can we just then save back the extracted file to the Garmin folder? No need to generate a UNL file again?

I tried to download GPSDaemon from 110mb.com and it's gone. Any idea where we can get it now?
