When I use Home Port 2.0.4 to open a blue chart g map and the properties showed it is "No map printing" restriction. How can I remove the restrictions? Does this mean the map is a locked map? Thanks.

no ,HomePort doesn't support printing for some maps on SD or device.
Garmin does not make their own maps. They buy map data from some providers. Some of these providers give the data to Garmin on condition that users can't print it. They want these users to buy printed maps separately
    There is a workaround

Homeport can show locked maps too

...not having any luck at installing homeport...tried 201, 203 and kept getting error messages...the latest one says "There is a problem with OZtopo V2.1 installation... re-install and..."
    Any ideas...?

For topo maps use BaseCamp, HomePort is for Bluecharts.
Check with Mapsetoolkit if you have some errors in your installed maps, and eventually remove the problematic one with it and reinstall

I have my blue chart map coming up in Mapsource and in Basecamp. I have downloaded Homeport but don't know how to transfer the map to Homeport. I have the blue chart on my 78s as gmapsupp_low.img along with the City Navigator 2012 as gmapsupp.img. When I connect the device to Homeport all I get is the Global basemap on Homeport.
    Any suggestions??

Figured it out. Copy locked gmapsupp.img file onto thumb drive or SD card in folder named GARMIN. Copy "Fast IMG Unlocker 1.5.exe" file into the same folder. Run the unlocker and wait until it has completed it's magic. Start Homeport and it will find the unlocked gmapsupp.img file located on the thumb drive. You will still see the Global map so you need to zoom in quite a bit before the detail start to appear. Homeport is much better than basecamp or mapsource to view charts.
Thanks Catymag for helping make this possible.

Homeport do not send maps to device! Use Mapsource and Gmaptool for Bluechart G2 with 276C...
