I wish somebody can help me. Thank you very much! I have a Garmin Nuvi 3760T. I tried to unlock Inland Lakes with this tool. It doesn't work for me.

    @jaybird
Any map with FID/PID of 2200 or more cannot be unlocked with JM for use on modern garmin devices. That's most of the inland lakes series. Use Garmin Image Unlock (gimgunlock): [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    instructions:
    to unlock an unlocked IMG
rename the map gmapsupp.img and unlock with jetmouse keygen creating the unl file with notepad

on jetmouse keygen v1.5 put either the 10 digit gps unit id number (will be unlocked only in your gps)or the sd serial # (it will be unlocked in any gps you put the sd card
under-select map product --on the bottom ---custom map set---add the maps FID# also called mapid #

click generate a few times on the bottom-all those numbers will unlock the map--copy that 25 digit number into the gmapsupp.unl file --- don't add a enter --just 25 digits on the first line ----
on a sd card create a garmin directory--in that directory copy your gmapsupp.unl file (unlock file) and the gmapsupp.img (g2 map)
When you save the .UNL file in Notepad, be sure you set the "Save as type" to "All Files", not "Text Documents".

Maps FIDs are posted in Maps section threads.
If you have an .img you can check it with GmapTool. In its log is written the .img FID

Allow me, just being a member, to give some comments

For quite a while I was confused by the restriction of Jetmouse above Map ID 2200
Till last week I was using Mapsource with my 60CS and 60CSx
I have Basecamp but it is not my favourite.
After uploading map segments from different maps to GPS or SD card even less.
I do not really miss the FIND function in Topo as I do that with City Navigator Europe and then switch to Topo.
This works fine both in Mapsource and Basecamp.
The auto routing has not shown to be very successful in any of the new European Topo Maps.
I’am glad I can see the result of a route on the computer.
I would never rely outdoor on the GPS for that.
Very different from the City Navigator Maps which are great and quite reliable.

Topo Austria v3 (Map ID 2562) was the first map causing unlock problems with Jetmouse.
The Forum helped me out as Fast Image unlocker opens the map but caused read errors in color schemes and map visibility.
Only below 700m zoomlevel I had a proper map reading, however still the color scheme problem.
When I tried to upload maps from Basecamp I ran into problems with some maps.
Unlock Map Directory v 7.1.6.0 resolved the problem!!!!!!

I then made the following scheme

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Note: Yes-remark means the map is unlocked but “unauthenticated”

As you can see I opened many maps above 2200 with Jetmouse.
All function fine within Mapsource and on 60CS and 60CSx
City Navigator 2013.20 FIND functions properly in Mapsource and 60CS and 60CSx
    Including the FIND function!!!

Note: I have no experience in Nuvi series, 62 series or Colorado, Dakota etc.

It seems the Jetmouse era is over. (Congrats to the maker)
Unlock Map Directory v 7.1.6.0 resolved my Topo Austria v3 problem.
The previous version of Unlock Map Directory and FI-unlocker both unfortunately failed.

    Conclusion
Jetmouse restricts on Topo maps in Basecamp use.
Not in opening maps in Mapsource until Topo Austria v3
It does not on City Navigator maps (Including all functions)

I think that you want to unlock something to your SD Card ?
    Just use 451965565 .
If you use another memory card the numbers will change.

Am i missing something here, maybe? The volume id and card id are quite different i think. If the VID is changed manually with 3rd party software such as VolumeId as you suggested then you need to reboot. If it's changed automatically with a reformat of the card then no reboot reqd. However, the CID is hard coded onto the card and is constant, it never changes. Doen't matter how many letters it has, no need to add zeros, just put the 7, 8 or woteva numbers in JM and it will generate the correct unl code for the card. (OK to flog me if i've missed the point).
