    Sensational :-) :-) Perfect! Great job :-))
I realize, you are a great artist!
I wounder if you might care for the following problem:
The tablet I'm using has no function to transfer an app to the external SD-card.
Now with the Navionics app manny thousends of tiles / files are downloaded and they are flooding my internal (emulated) sd-card.
Mayb there's a chance to advise the app to find all tiles on the external SD-card.
this would be really great, as it would be easy to have spare external SD-card as backup.
    Thanks for your effort.

    Hi djeman,
downloaded some tile from South Pacific to see all these phantastic islands.
Funny, Easter island will not download. Well, it's really a problem. there's no real chance to visit this tiny archipel.
    Thanks for your work.

The sdcard path is retrieved by the library in native language (c/c++ compiled for 3 platforms arm/x86/mips) and it's too hard to change that.

I had the impression from other blogs, that the SD-card feature is part of the coding an not easely changeable. Bad luck.
So there's no chance to advise Navionics to search for the tiles on the SD-card?
Many app have access to the SD-card, e.g. total comander, audio player, picture viewer, etc.

Anyway, thanks for your work and I am really glad.

Im not entirely sure what you're talking about here,

but after downloading all the charts I need, I transferred all files/folders under Navionics folder in the internal memory to my Ext SD card Navionics folder I created.

I use an Android app called FolderMount (root required).
The app has a transfer feature, but I rather transfer it manually as it's faster that way.
I then "pair" the empty Navionics from internal to the ext SD Navionics folder.
Navionics will recreate those files and folders in the default internal directory but it will be mostly empty,
and Navionics will still see the maps you copied to external SD.

As i had a huge map collection, I painstakingly copied folder and subfolders by 10's and 20's .
Copying them all at once freezes my phone for a long period of time.

    here's the XDA thread

Why would you need this app?

Today some apps store big files over the internal SD card (e.g. Games, Podcasts, Offline RSS feeds, Pictures, Offline navigation software). Typically users have a small internal sd card size (~16GB) while the external SD is a lot bigger (~32-64GB). Most of these apps don't have an option to use the external SD card to store data so they starve your internal SD card memory. I'm bringing this solution to fix this issue. In my case, I use this app to mount offline navigation software and some GameLoft games (NFS anyone?).
edit - came across on xda as well on something about using mounts on emulated SD card , but i can no longer find the link.

Thanks Janhenz, gave FolderMount a try - good app and fully working.
There is only one point that is annoying:
When you move the content of the directory Navionics from internal to external SD-card, you have all tiles highlighted. This is the normal behavier never mind if you use FolderMount or not.
But in case you are going to download more tiles while FolderMount is activ, than the newly downloaded tiles are not high lighted. Nevertheless you have the high resolution, but no high light.

It seems, that best way is to download with FolderMount off, then move the complete content of the folder Navionics to a folder Navionics on the ext SD-card.
Next activate FolderMount and restart Novionics.

Maybe you are aware of a way to download with FolderMount aktiv and have new and old tiles highlighted.
Regarding the Move function --> I use the Total Commander app, very close to the Windows program and of course Total Commander can move directories with many thousend tiles / files easely.

    hi djeman,
all your mods work really well.
Unfortunately I do experience a new desaster. After some installing, experimenting and deleting I do have now this anoying problem:

I try to install boating HD and my tablet says: "Sorry no space available, delete some apps".
From the 16GB I use about 4GB for system jobs, some 1GB for apps and about 9GB is totally free (hope so)
I tried several tools like Cleanmaster but I can't find any info regarding this fault.

Maybe you have an idea how to get rid of the wrong info about storage capacity.

16GB is on your internal memory and this problem is on the data partition ... yeah I'm not very good to explain that in english ^^

But your internal memory of 16GB is partitionned system, data, sdcard, kernel, bootloader, radio firmware, recovery, ...

Have you tried to move some applications on sdcard with the applications manager ?
Have you checked the data size of each apps suspicious to see if one of it is too big ?
Are you sure of the free space of the "data" partition ?
