Unhappy Bluechart no success on android 4.2.2 /oruxmaps

    Hello

I installed oruxmaps onto my xperia tablet Z that runs 4.2.2.

I managed to load an unlocked Bluechart img. file (Thames Estuary v 14.5) in the app, but for some reason only a few names were visible, no map image what so ever.

Isnīt oruxmaps supposed to display bluechart G2 maps properly ?

In that case are there any other ways to display BC-maps on my tablet ?

    Any input appreciated.

    Regards

    mag

Orux can display only some IMGs compiled by cGPSMapper ,
original Garmin maps can not be displayed correctly or even completely in Orux.
    You can try Navionics maps

You can also try OSM OpenSeaMap maps with Orux:

Thx for your swift reply. Navionics is an option of course but...
Would there be any chance of converting the bluechart img. using cgsmapper for oruxmap to be able to display it or would it be possible to use Garmin's android app to display it?

    Cheers /mag

Unfortunately no, you cant convert Garmin Bluechart maps to other format, and no solutions for Android till now to display Garmin BCs.

Ok I'll stick to navionics then. Thx for sharing your expertise, saved me a lot of work and frustration.
