So it's "point-to-point" for you guys. Brits called their SPECS/VECTOR and I'm pretty sure Italy has their own name. Odd that google only has one (Bruce Hwy); according to Cyclops, there should be 10. Look at 152.9936528,-26.9259024.jpg from my previous attachment. Is that the one at Bruce Hwy? and the target of your roadtrip? I've attached one strategy of creating alert for Bruce Hwy; see if it works ok via simulation. Red icons mean alert still active and green icon mean alert ended. For testing I'm going to stick with 24x24 icons and beep tone.

For comparison purposes, I've built using another strategy, single alert with circles. It has Orange icons for active and blue icon for end. You might want to turn only one on to test since they are using same coords and might be confusing.
Update: I have re-attached correction to problem for both strategies. Note that alert is directional so make sure to test driving in opposite direction as well.
