Ok, I found this huge record after decoding. It's a 2.25 km stretch with mobile camera for 53.75 km/h?
What sort of info would take up all those bytes?

I didn't know there can be fractional speed. Is this possible?

Here is another one with fractional speed of 132.50 km/h for a span of 5.82 km!!
    Code:

This one has detector type=0a (not like 05=mobile for the above). What is 0a that it contained massive amount of data?

Here is another long tunnel 8.98km, speed decoded as 2.50 km/h, odd.
    Code:

The pattern seem to be the longer the span, the more the bytes. So it might be that there are waypoints encoded (not as coords but maybe encoded-polyline or delta) This makes sense because if alert span across street intersection, there has to be a way to trigger it when driver entered from one of those cross street.

After looking at most of subtype=07, I believe they are "school-zone". Their speeds are very low (around the 20mph-35mph) which pretty much agree with school-zone area speed limit. I also mapped some and most are near schools, few are near church as well. Here is one of interest in UK, looks like Cyclops got duplicates
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

For the 2nd alert, Cyclops has 1.25km/h while SCDB has 30km/h.

Moving on to subtype=08, all of them have speed of 0. Even redlight have very small speed (not zero). Here are two interesting ones from UK
    Code:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Why two close alerts in same direction (instead of merging into one) The '=' indicate double lanes
    =======(<--alert2--)=={<--alert1--)=======

While this one has alerts in opposite direction
    =======(--alert1-->)==(<--alert2--)=======
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Could it be that these alerts are for "dangerous/construction zone?"

Concerning subtype=13 used only in France. Here is one on a road so crooked/jagged and it's only 2.01km with speed over 83km/h!!

For Neil, I had replied in post instead of email since I knew email replying would not be able to review before sending. And I knew that unless I attached, remove and re-attach the images, it wouldn't work. There is something wrong with the board attachment routine!

We all make mistake when rushing, don't worry about it. I was glad that it was mistake in misreading direction than my decoding, LOL!

As you can see, the placement of coords1,2 and 3 are not consistent between the two routes. I was hoping that it was just a simple
---[coord1]--------[coord3]-[coord2]---> or ---[coord2]--------[coord3]-[coord1]---> but this doesn't seem to be the case. Without a way to identify direction, all we have is a span, which isn't that great.

    If it helps...

In Austria, south of Innsbruck, on highway A12 there are 2 "zone" cameras as I drive to the East.
The file is the latest Safety_Camera_Germany_Austria.gpi
The first one is a "Average Speed Zone Camera" at 60 Km/h, just in front of a tunnel that starts at waypoint A12_1 and ends at A12_2 (in this tunnel the map's speed limit is ....100 Km/h!!!!)
The second is a "Mobile Camera Zone" at 100 Km/h that starts at waypoint A12_A and ends at A12_B and there is no red square indicator icon on the map, just the red notification on the top field.

    .......
Thanks x-trail! Your info always help (so detail and with lots of info)
I'm able to extract them from latest Austria. First one matched with sectional(avg-speed) of 60km/h
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

This second one matched up as well, with mobile speed of 100km/h
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

It's interesting that speed inside of tunnel is 100km/h while detector is for 60km/h. Why?

I'm trying to identify alert of detector=07, here are 3 that I'm perplexed about

Located in Germany, but not on a road with speed of 40km/h
    Code:

All three seem to have reasonable low speed warranted for school-zone, but since I can't read German, so I can't tell if there is a school near by. Also there are only 3 of this detector type in entire Germany and Austria, does this seem right for school-zone? Or maybe it's a temporary alert.

There are only 2 in SouthAfrica, both with speed of 80km/h, which is pretty fast for a school-zone

    Lower speedlimit due roadwork, maybe?

Users should post different type alert screenshot from Nuvi and location.

Nuvi show "Variable Safety Camera Zone", whole tunnel, both way.

How to speed up the simulation mode?
