autovelox Cyclop Safety Cameras for Garmin

Cyclops go in Nuvi POI folder, or in sd/Garmin/POI

Note:Cyclops don't work on Nulink Models [other than Nuvi 169x NuLink]. See here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Update - July 2016: Some devices can no longer use unlocked Cyclops following firmware updates. The solution is to either roll-back fw to an earlier version which allowed them, or even better to use LOCKED files and corresponding UNL files with new fw but not files with original FID of 2496, only with FID changed to 700 or 900. Details and workarounds are in this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Put .gpi files in POI folder

NOTE: Sometimes the files for individual countries or regions are many weeks 'behind' the official release date. If no new camera data is available from Cyclops then Garmin doesn't 'update' the earlier dated GPI files in it's subsequent releases, other than as explained below for AU_NZ and EEU:

Australia, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania & Slovakia users please note:
Files for AU/NZ and Eastern EU are NOT updated with every release.
This is despite them always appearing to be so updated going by the release date [as shown above]. It's a Garmin compiling bug, long ongoing and uncorrected. For convenience of AU/NZ and EEU users, each file will be compared to the most recently updated and if they have the same camera data the 'new' one won't be posted. If there is in fact updated data since prior postings the genuinely updated individual gpi files will be supplied below. Currently, latest data for AU/NZ ('safety_camera_australia.gpi') is in 3rd November 2016 and EEU ('safety_camera_czech_poland_slovenia.gpi' [sic]) is also in 3rd November 2016, so both the locked and unlocked files for each are posted below [it's actually Slovakia, not Slovenia - someone can't spell, you'll find the genuine Slovenia with Italy].

If subsequent release 'later date' files for either AU/NZ or EEU have the same camera data as an earlier release then the later file may not be posted:

Spoiler: Click for Latest AU/NZ, locked and unlocked

Update as of 3rd November 2016 for AU/NZ:

Update as of 3rd November 2016 for Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania & Slovakia [not Slovenia as in the gpi file name]:

Is not among the supported models, then it may be that not work

Have you tried in the active route or simulated GPS (if it supports this function) in a leg of road where there are such Cyclops?

Hi guys - i've got 2 nuvis - 2455 & 3597 and is it correct to say that i can simply copy the unlock gpi file to the poi folder of the GPS and presto it'll apply the safety cameras for the Gps units? If yes - so i don't have to muck around with unlocking and patching the file?

You got it right Jackie [from Melbourne and quick on the uptake ... ummm], you can also put the POI folder on a micro SD.

EDIT: Oh, kenta has taken the Speedy Gonzales mantle from Roger! Sorry Mate, too quick for me .... lol.
