NOTE: Look at the latest posts in this thread to find the most up-to-date files available

Cyclops go in Nuvi POI folder, or in sd/Garmin/POI

    uHjXKBb

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links

Note:Cyclops don't work on Nulink Models [other than Nuvi 169x NuLink]. See here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Ballebar's instructions about patched (unlocked) Cyclops releases in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. See [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Note there is a difference between 'unlocking' and 'decrypting' GPI files. Decrypted files will work with all devices capable of using Cyclops files. In modern MSV protected devices patching of the firmware may additionally be needed, more info in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Unlocked files generally work fine on older devices without modern firmware protection but may require FID to 700 or 900 change.

To unlock, use pietu's Patch Tool or marcocq's PGFT attached below.

To decrypt, use syzygy's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Sometimes decrypted files are often also loosely referred to as unlocked.

Put .gpi files in POI folder either on device or in Garmin folder on SD card.

Models where JM codes work only with 700 or 900 (2496 won't work):
xx, 2xxx & 3xxx. For those and releted devices change FID 2496 to either 700 or 900 and add unl code, or simply unlock the file. Use PGFT .....

NOTE: Sometimes the files for individual countries or regions are many weeks 'behind' the official release date. If no new camera data is available from Cyclops then Garmin doesn't 'update' the earlier dated GPI files in it's subsequent releases, other than as explained below for AU_NZ and EEU:

Australia, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania & Slovakia users please note:
Files for AU/NZ and Eastern EU are NOT updated with every release.
This is despite them always appearing to be so updated going by the release date [as shown above]. It's a Garmin compiling bug, long ongoing and uncorrected. [it's actually Slovakia, not Slovenia that's packaged with the Eastern Europe file - someone can't spell, you'll find the genuine Slovenia with Italy].

Is not among the supported models, then it may be that not work

Have you tried in the active route or simulated GPS (if it supports this function) in a leg of road where there are such Cyclops?

    Bye,bye

Hi guys - i've got 2 nuvis - 2455 & 3597 and is it correct to say that i can simply copy the unlock gpi file to the poi folder of the GPS and presto it'll apply the safety cameras for the Gps units? If yes - so i don't have to muck around with unlocking and patching the file?

You got it right Jackie [from Melbourne and quick on the uptake ... ummm], you can also put the POI folder on a micro SD.

EDIT: Oh, kenta has taken the Speedy Gonzales mantle from Roger! Sorry Mate, too quick for me .... lol.
