So can I have a Hindi accent but the speaker is in English?
:?:
You can download the standard voice files (no TTS) fromVoice Guidance | Application | Products | Garmin IndiaCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
They work with every device.
If you want to have Indian Sarita, then u have to patch probably your gupdate.gcd to support this language

@Schermann
'Oh, you can so very much have it, and with my sincere compliments, Sir!'
It will work in your Nuvi 50 Scherms. I've also tested it in AU 2460 as well as my US 50 so should be ok with all 2xxx, 3xxx and xx US/EU fw devices. Not compatible with US/EU 1xxx series or earlier.
EDIT: 'No, that big one so very much does not work in your Nuvi 50, or any other xx series for that matter Sahib Schermann, Sir. You are needing the smaller Sangeeta file which is available in Post #17. Please do not be beating me so badly Sahib, you are indeed a very cruel man' (Check post #17 for known compatibility so far for both files sizes).

So sorry mate! I accidentally uploaded the large TTS file. The one that works in 4x/5x series is the smaller TTS file, this one: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Sangeeta is still chatting nicely to me (She's sweet, i love her accent, quite cultured 'British Raj' in my assessment). Absolutely no reason why the smaller one should not work in all xx series that i can see.
Yeah, i was wrong to assume that because it worked in my 2455 that it would work in all 2/3xxx. It doesn't.
TTS *.vpm file name actually is of no consequence, but even if not compatible (as 265; 3790; 1xxx series) it would normally throw the 'Incompatible Audio Version' message but does still show in most of my Nuvis' voice language list as 'Indian English-Sangeeta' the same format as all TTS voices show. As in your 2595 with the large file, the small file doesn't appear at all in the 3790 voice list although the large files does, but it has the incompatible message. The large file works in my 2455 with fw v7.70, my 3490 and my 2460. Neither file works in my 3790 or 2350 or any of my 2x5 or 1xxx series. Beats me, maybe try the smaller file in your 2595 roger.
Anyone else, if you do try them please report if one or the other, or neither work in other units.

No good news, unfortunately
The new small voice (ACT, I guess) and the new entry TTS2 (I think) are not seen in the list.
The strange thing is that there are still items in the nav .... as if imposed as a British system (Text,Kb), tells me that the item is not compatible .... but it makes me see how set.
In the list....also Italiano Silvia (TTS) is missing....but is OK if with Text,Kb Italian

Tested in 2595 EU/US fw 7.70
Bye,bye

Seems strange that the large file works in my 2455 US/EU v7.70 fw, but not in your closely related 2595 using same v7.70 fw. Not surprised the small one doesn't work though. The large file works fine in both my 3490 (convert) and 3590 which are of course related devices but use slightly differing fw, so it makes no sense to me that it works in my 24x5 4.3" device but not in your 25x5 5" device when they use exactly the same fw. Although, it will work in my 2460 (5" AU only device) but not in my 2350 (closely related 4.3").
To discount a faulty file, i've download my own file from AnonFiles and checked that it works on two separate units. It does.
I did notice that you have British text and keyboard set on your 2595 whereas i had American on my 2455:
so i changed to British:
Still works fine:
I guess compatibility varies even amoungst very closely related models, i.e. working in 2460, but not in 2350 or 3790 is understandable because of different fw, but working in 2455 and not in 2595 with same fw is not so easily explained.
EDIT: I just noticed your edit on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in your thread 'New voices TTS2 from Garmin'. So the 22MB file downloaded with WebUpdater works, so why the heck didn't the AnonFiles one work for you? Can you check the hashes to see if they are identical please Roger? I'll delete the file from my 2455 and dl again via WU to check it too.
