    Ok...test then so:

In to folder Garmin from root DNX,copy the file GarminDevice.xml .......into one SD paste this file in folder Garmin (create).

Launch your mydashboard, and click EXTRA....and next...
If they Cyclops are compatible with the DNX you can continue with the purchase

    Bye,bye

EDIT:therefore do not have access to the root of the DNX? I thought about it just now: if you have a USB back test with the front...

Sorry, I somehow missed that post of yours and the subsequent ones. It does seem indeed that of the nulink models at least the 2320 does not display them. I have a nulink 1690 on which the nulink subscription has long expired. It won't show traffic with an external receiver connected (just pops a message that accessory is not supported), but it happily shows POIs including Cyclops and custom:

I guess 'some do, some don't'.

Thank you again for trying to help me. You are correct, Kenwood locked down the access to the internal SD and there is no access to root. They even disabled the hidden diagnostic utilities that used to let you copy things from External SD or USB to root.

I have seen threads where people have opened up their Kenwoods and removed the internal SD and disabled the lock down on the internal SD card. But my unit is still under warranty so I won't try that yet.

I could not seem to get the Garmin browser add-on to recognize the new 2012 unit when connected to the USB connector. When I had an older Kenwood DNX years ago the browser add-on would indeed recognize the kenwood when connected to the micro-usb connection on the back.

Looks like I will just have to search for a CSV POI file and use POI loader.

cant seem to get these to show up in an Oregon 450? I thought these were compatible?

I've tried putting the unlocked GPX file in the POI folder & I've also tried putting the locked file in the POI folder with the unlock code (from JetMouse) in a unl file.

I have spent days looking in to the Speed Camera Databases for the UK.

The Cyclops database and the Pockets GPS World database seem to be the most accurate ones and have mobile cameras.
I can see the Cyclops on a Garmin is better in the sense that it tells / controls the Garmin better than the Pocket GPS World.
And read that both Databases have very accurate camera data.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried both Databases together and worked out which one is most likely to know about a mobile camera in the UK?
Since from what I have read they are probably very similar?

Unfortunately I have a TomTom, so am unable to use the Cyclops system, but I'm curious and others with a Garmin may be interested?

    @ John587

Sorry ,but have you seen the Cyclops database or have used a Garmin nav to see them and only some?

Because all of us would like to see in the database of the Cyclops (and not just for the UK)

    Bye,bye

I have not been able to see the Cyclops database since I do not have a Garmin.
The file is encrypted, so I can not put it in a POI viewer on my computer.
I have only been able to read a few scattered reports about the Cyclops database.

The pocket gps world database is by far the best I have scene and is much better than TomToms own database in the UK.
It seems that loads of peoples databases are so out of date they are useless (TomTom included),
and others have abandoned mobile speed cameras (they used to list them but no longer do).
The pocket gps world has picked up every fixed and mobile speed camera I have scene so far (in the UK).

But I am very curious about Cyclops, since it may be better or equal or slightly worse from what I can gather (in the UK).

Cyclops is not based on user database. There are official info for most countries. I can partially confirm this. In some country there are faked camera on road. User databases respond to them. Cyclops not give a false alarm. At least until my wallet is unharmed...

    @John587
To re-quote my old chestnut: "Better to receive either an unnecessary warning of a dummy site/mobile zone or multiple warnings of a live site than to have no warning at all when it's needed". Load every poi file you can get your hands on if you're totally paranoid and don't mind receiving dummy and multiple warnings. In a nuvi, loading multiple *.gpi files of the same area cause no problems other than extra warnings being given. Propbably TT is the same, i dunno for sure. I know Giomen will say something like he doesn't want to pimp his nuvi up so that it lights up like a xmas tree, and he just sticks with cyclops 'coz it hasn't let him down.

Maybe if you decide to flick your TT and get a Garmin, you could load both cyclops and a reliable user-contributed database. You will get the best of both worlds and prevent some hand-wringing (both figuratively and literally). Otherwise on your TT substitute SCDB for Cyclops combined with the other.
