Default SMEG and SMEG+ iV2 Question

I have a 2013 Peugeot 208 GTi which comes with navi and SMEG 3.15.B.R1 on board. I presume it has the old first version SMEG. Now I want the Carplay/Mirror Link options which from what I have read only available through SMEG+ iV2. I am looking to buy this 2016 unit and was wondering if it is ok to upgrade this hardware to get into latest features. Can I use back my original touchscreen and navi? Is the socket the same? Please advise all. Thank you.

Exclamation This is no SMEG+i V2 - Look closer!

    Your first pic shows a SMEG+, not a SMEG+i V2.

Ok, so this is a wrong unit then. That's why I asked for expert opinion here first before purchase. Thanks.

Another hint: lzsilva did a hardware upgrade for the same reason. He has a DS3 and he succeeded. However, he is not satisfied with CarPlay.
