Default RD4 to RT6 after build in problems.

Hello all im a owner of a C3 2011 car that came with an RD4 unit.
I bought a RT6 that came from an wrecked C3 2015 model and i built it in to my car, i used the pinout for the rt6.

    Foto of the dashbord:

Now the radio works fine GPS working and he gets the info from can correctly as he shows doors open etc.

The following problem i have is an annoying BEEP every two seconds no matter what i do. The only way to put the sound off is push the power button so radio shuts down and only navigation is on with sounds turned off, if voice turned on the beep comes back.

My parking sensors wont work when putting gear in reverse.

I try to update the last firmware downloaded from this site only he wont read the usb it will say checking file and it will take over 30 min. Formatted in FAT32.

Does anyone have any idea for this problem or suggestions for what i can do?

I bought a new USB and im gonna try to update with this usb to make sure its not a faulty usb.

    Hello,

You'd have pictures of your installation in the car ?
The transition is possible, I've already read it successfully.
You should go to your garage to declare the RT6 to the car with the electronic suitcase and erase all faults.

Oke, i dont have the time to go to the garage this week. I will make an appointment next week.
I will upload some pictures later today. You want pictures of the car wiring or just some cool pictures of the dashboard?

As Bricoman says, your CitroŽn dealer have to reconfigure the VIN nr on the RT6 to match your car.
Tell them to also configure the RT6 to have parking sensors, probobly the donar car didnt have that.

Thank you, after Bricoman told me i was searching the internet about the VIN NR. I saw some cool things about the LEXIA 3 OBD tool.
I think im gonna buy the Lexia 3 tool so i can read and write myself also in the future. Does anyone have experience with that?

I shall update the status later of the radio.

I have an other idea that may work.

Look in the thread about adding themes in the RT6 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

There you have a tool that makes it possible to download the settings from RT6 to a USB-memory, and then edit the file.
I have done it to add the themes, but maybe its possible to both edit the VIN and parking assistance?!? I did never check all the things you could change, but I would be surprised if the VIN wasnt any of the things you could change.

I coudnt change the VIN number true the tool. I bought a Lexia3 OBD tool for Ä70,- and i successfully changed the VIN nr in the radio and the beep stopped!! Thanks for all the help and thinking.

As for my parking sensors i still have to play with it as the lexia tool gets a fault registrition when i want to change the parameter for the parking sensor.
