    Angry New owner of Citroen Cactus C4

    Hello everyone, i've just bought a Citroen Cactus C4 from a local dealer here in Cyprus but i'm really dissatisfied with my new car. The dealer said that the satellite maps for Cyprus will be available in a few months, but after doing a small search on the internet, i've realized that the maps for my country will never be available but couldn't find the reason for this.

    So my question is basically this:
    - Can i replace the eMyway Satellite part of my 7" monitor with another satnav system that might include my country without affecting the other car options (music, aircondition etc) ?

    Red face You can't be serious!

    @Inje
    Your unit is not an eMayWay. It is a SMEG+.
    The headunit's software cannot (of course not!) be replaced.
    There is no satellite "part". Headunits in cars are not homecomputers where one can install applications.

    I am writing the following words without any offense on my mind. I just think you're on the wrong track.

    This is my true advise (the following is completely off-topic in a tech forum)

    I am going to assume you are a private buyer, i.e. a consumer. I am also going to assume you never heard about the EU.

    If you bought your car in the greek part of Cyprus (=EU) then your dealer has the obligation to fix it, if he promised the nav feature in the contract.
    It is called EU-consumer rights- -> [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    I have a Citroen Cactus Shine in Portugal and may testimony that if you paid for that version, with a price which includes a navigation system, you should complain to the dealer and, finally to Citroen headquarters in France, and demand either a solution or a refund which might permit you to have another temporary navigation system (Tomtom Go for smartphone /Sygic, etc.). The fact is that in Citroen Cyprus site it is advertised that Shine version brings "Navigation system with 8GB jukebox function" and it has to be honored. In case your Cactus's version is not Shine, and if you did not pay for a navigation system as an accessory, then Citroen would not be obliged to satisfy you.

    brasluco has a point here!

    I had a look at the PSA Cyprus site today: The trims Feel and Live only offer "control features"
    Shine does offer navigation. So bralusco is perfectly right!

    Excellent post!

    Sign the online petition to Citroen to install Cyprus maps!
