    Default Smeg+/smeg+2

    Just wondering...
Will SMEG+ be updated to SMEG+2?
Anyone know the difference between these 2 versions?
Will there be a risk to update if this is possible?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

These two devices are different at the hardware level, internal electronics has changed.
It is not possible to want to change the first to the second with software.

No, it won't. At least not unless you change cars.

I've really got no idea why you open a new thread about the same question you asked just a few days before:

Nothing about 1 or 2, so anyone know what version this is?
Especially as the answer was given to you just a few postings below your question:

SMEG+ and SMEG+i V2 refer to different hardware devices. These are NOT displayed on the system screen, as those are software versions.

The firmware major versions are as follows:

    • Firmware 5.x belongs to SMEG+ hardware.
    • Firmware 6.x belongs to SMEG+i V2 hardware.

There is no "SMEG+ V1" hardware.

So, if you have a 5.x reading, you own a SMEG+. And you guys need to read the first post (the first line) which tells you the ugradepath.

Don't get me wrong, it is perfectly OK to ask again if you didn't understand the answer, but you could've use the original thread to do so, couldn't you?

    Greetz,
    Wayne

Hi Wayne, I am sorry I missunderstood. I did understand that Smeg+2 maps could not be used in smeg+ firmware. But it is not obvious that firmware Smeg+ could not be updated to firmware Smeg+2. This is a new question and I would not bring a new question into a tread about maps. That is why I opened a new thread and I got an answer I understood. Again, I am sorry if I messed up, I had good intentions.
