! use the same CCT.DAT.inf file (these included inside the SMEG_PLUS_UPG (or SMEG_PLUS)) to generate the activation code and in the root of the USB key ; otherwise the GPS don't accept the code and write "DMR fault"

First: Identification of Media, second: Verfication for Compatibility and.....nothing. I have wait 5 mn, nothing. If i unplug the USB, i have the message : Cancel of the update
    Any Idea ?

You have to navigate in the GPS menu and open the sub program "configuration of maps", than "info maps" , search and enter, select in the list the maps you want to update.

    hi,
    unfortunately I couldn't do it. :/
I have a 508 with wip+, without the touch panel. first I tried to update the firmware, actually I running on the RNEG2.80.E.2, impossible. the computer detects the usb but takes a long time analyzing the data and at the end it disappears and return to the main screen. tried twice with different usb and formatted in fat32.

then I placed the usb with the maps, the car's computer detects the maps and it is possible to try to update, but ask for the key.
I tried the two different methods.
1st with a usb with the files of the calculator.
at the beginning it prompts me to say yes, to create a license file, and then I got an error message. SECURITY BREACH
the license file recently cerated on the usb drive doesn't include any code or any code is shown on screen of the gps.

2nd I use the java application to generate the code, placed the vin and the file from the maps. it generated a code, but the gps doesn't accept that code. odd

I was starting to think that I have a faulty gps, but I tried to install the speed cameras and radars file. it worked!

    one little victory for me

is there anything else I can do?

    thanks!!!
