    help Downgrade form 2.86b to 2.05 RT6 Citroen C4

    Hello there

Since the last post with the problem on my navigation system, i wanted to try to reflash the 2.05 fw that the car had and maybe the system will start working again [still got the black screen].

So has anyone got the 2.05 fw?

PS: is the any problem when you downgrade?
    PS2: what is a mira scrip ?

    Hello,

You will struggle to return to a firmmware 2.05, go to see here for 2.21 :
I think the factory reset by shunt the two solder points will clear the internal memory to install the FW 2.21 inside RT6.
If this labor risk don't to give you résult, RT6 is OK, you can change it with another one.
"Mira Script" is a good personnal software to install in the RT6 for more possible settings.

    @stefpaul

It is not possible to up- or downgrade from the very newest to the very oldest fw and vice versa without recalibration (of the CANBUS) at an authorized dealer's DiagBox.
Your black screen is a result of a failed CANBUS sync. Even a "factory reset" will not likely help.

Btw. the Hardware of RT 6 comes in two versions, which are not interchangeable.

HW Version 1 uses Fw up to 2.31

HW Version 2 uses Fw from 2.70 to 2.8x

But it is still possible to upgrade HW Ver 1 to 2.86 with the mandatory recalibration at the DiagBox. The valid and possible upgrade "paths" are outlined on the package of the Firmware media that can be bought at your dealer ( approx. 36 EUR).

So I figure you might have flashed your HW-Ver 1 using the wrong firmware. the C4 was shipped with CAN 2004 and CAN 2010 version of the hardware. And bricoman might be wrong also, when he recommends a hardware exchange as a solution. The question is what hardware do you have now and not which one you could get.

You gotta see ur dealer, or you bricked your device. Your game is over.

Regarding mira scripts: They're not scripts, they're C-Headers. They're only called scripts. They are ment to modify certain parameters of program modules loaded into memory of the RT6 when it boots up.
Wanna try? Unbrick your dev first.

    Hello,

You had the latest firmware, why would replace older?
It is quite dangerous for the equipment to do this, do the work only in the garage if problem.
The factory reset needs the original installation CD to reload the RT6.
Mira script is used by many people to have more opportunity to eMyWay settings, that is their choice.
The original RT6 works fine with firmware originals, I prefer to stay on the origin which is more reassuring.
As WayneLaPie, it's best to see your mechanic or dealer.
