help Problem with the RT6 on a 508 Peugeot

After an update to firmware 2.86b and updating to the latest maps the system does not work normally. I have to say that during the update I had to stop the engine unfortunately...

The system boots and is working for some time, then it shows "Check in progress" and after "Place navigation cd". Escaping the errors (with the cd button) is not a solution because after that the GPS does not give your position and the map is "frozen". No address can be entered either: it says "loading data base" and nothing comes further.

Reloading the firmware and the maps did not fix the problem...

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

Never stop engine during update radio, risk to damage RT6, now it's the case with you.
Damage with FW or update maps ? Did you have tried to update again Maps or FW ?
Did you have updated radio with CD or USB key, USB key is better for this work, never problem ?
Look thread up to use good tool for that !

    Thanks for your answer Bricoman.
Rt6 has been updated, FW and maps with an USB key and it's while I was updating the maps not the FW that I had to stop the engine. The GPS is working but only for a few minutes before I get the above messages.

    Hi,

FW has been finished with no error, it's good like that.
Update again French map, be patient, wait update is really completed.
RT6 must run fine, all good files are inside radio.

    Hi Bricoman,

I tried to update France' map it did no good: same problem again. I guess I'll have to clone the sd card and reload all the maps !
    If somenone has another solution!

    Hi,

I think your RT6 is too damaged, return it to Peugeot SAV for repair.
Try with another USB key FAT32 for FW and French map, you wil be perhaps lucky ?
Files FW & EU maps come from this forum ?

Thanks for the links; I'll try with this version of 2.86.b1 FW; as for the maps I got these very ones.

    Hi,

RT6 is damaged, forum's files post 1 and thread FW are perfect.
    What must we do ?
You must return to Peugeot for repairing.
