I also successfully installed the 3rd image onto my recently bought used (8 years old) 308SW. It was really slow, as expected, but finished as expected. Used a Verbatim RW disk for it. Downloaded 1 map pack so far and installed that too, from a Lightscribe ready normal CD-R.

On the other hand this navigation interface does not look pretty compared to Sygic or Waze, so I am not sure how much use it will get in the long run.

    Thanks everyone for the support!

    Hello,

You can't compare Sygic or Waze, they are very different like autonomous GPS.
RT4/5 remains an onboard GPS works well and complete enough for the year of the vehicle.

    Hello,

I finally sent my rt4 to navigationmc (
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
). I received today, it works perfectly again, I have not lost configurations. I had lost hope... I had also sent copies of the maps, but even they were not able to install them. I therefore believe that the problem is the CD player, or maybe... maybe I made bad CDs. In any case, I will put the USB cable.

Today I contacted the Peugeot Catania to ask the USB cable. Real incompetent... the first time I have given the cable code. Then they asked me where I had found it and wanted the number of the machine frame. Then they told me that they showed that it was not compatible with my car, and I had to mount the usb kit ... to which I told him that was impossible. I invented that I have already purchased and installed in the past and I just want to replace it because it is breaking... and that in any case did not regard it is compatible or not. Well... it will come Thursday, perhaps.

At this point, when I will buy the USB cable, I would like to update the maps via USB. I understand that I have to simply unpack the iso and load all its contents in the pendrive, right? It should first be formatted in FAT32? The update also via USB takes a long time? In the event that something does go wrong, unlike the upgrade of firmware, I should not do much damage, right..? :D

    Thanks again!

    Hello,

I'm very happy for you, your RT4/5 works again for a long time.
Many seller Peugeot unfamiliar with the USB kit for RT4 ?
But it works perfectly, you can make updates, maps and radars.
The USB flash drive must be formatted in FAT32.
You only need to unpack the iso and load all its contents in the USB stick for updates.

I installed maps with usb, and even some mirascripts
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
    .
But I have a problem with alerts. I downloaded Autovelox from
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
and I build it in the USB via RTxMAPEDITOR 6. But when I insert the USB on rt4, this appears: "No alert in this version RTx"
Selectable firmware on RTxMAPEDITOR is at most 8.11, while I have the 8.31, maybe this is the problem? I read that it would be enough to take an alerts or PSA updated to 8.31, and then replace the MAPPE folder with the one made with RTxMAPEDITOR. This may be a solution? Where do I get alerts or PSA updated to fw 8.31? Thanks
