    Hello,

Don't use CD-RW, but CD-R who are better or USB stick.
Look at post 142 for visual USB stick or burn an image disk 2.86
USB stick is the best for updating your unit.

Thanks a lot Bricoman. As soon as i will find th courrage and the time, i 'll five it a try. First with CD-R. If this fails, i will use the USB stick 4Gb and FAT-32 formated.
    Great,

    Hello dear Bricoman,
Today i found the courrage to perform the upate of my RT6 device on my 2013 C5-Tourer. First i followed your advice and burned the update on a CD-R instead of a CD-RW. Never the less, also this CD-R was not readable by the device. So i had no other choise than to prform the FW update by means of a USB-Stick. So I formated a 2GB USB stick in FAT32 a copied the entire FW on it. Than i plugged the USB stick into the RT6 device. It took a significant time, up to 4 min to initialise the medium. Than the update started. After several restarts and several boots finaly after about 20min the update finished succesfully. My device is now updated from RNEG 2.75 to RNEG 2.86.b1. To me it is a very great succes and i am very happy as i could find many improvents. Now my devce recognizes CD-R as CD-RW's aswell and also plays mp3 files on it. Further on the beeps left are as loud as the beeps to the right. It was not before. Left was much louder than the right beeps. Last but not least, the startup of the device is much faster as it was before. So my C5 is from 2013. Maybe, and the chance is great that the device has been updated during that time but not performed well. I didn't need any diagbox nor myrascript. Everything woks like a charm. Thanks Bricoman to have been patient with me and for your great help.

    Greats,
    Francis

    Hello,

I'm really glad that you were able to update successfully your device.
Courage and patience often pays, you took the time to respect the update.
A new firmware is there to correct certain problems said by the users, which is the case.
Now, you can read music by USB stick with maximum memory 32 GB, the CD player isn't very useful.
Your car problems are now cleared, more fun to drive.
I saw a new WIPNav+ with the FW 2.86 version, it works perfectly.

    Hallo,
I used the Zippyshare file 2.86 in first post provided by
Bricoman. I deployed the files in a map on my PC. After i copied all the files on the roots of a FAT-32 formated US stick from which i started the update. Give all the time needed to the devies to update. You will get several black screens and reboots aswel. After the device initialized the USB stick, the update will start and will be completed up to 20min later. Importen: keep the engine running while updating. Everything will work as a charm.
    Succes and geerts,
    Francis
