Did everything with DVD. The first DVD system went without problems. Then maps on DVD up to 99% without problems. Then please message update failed to reinstall.
    version ng4_D_N42c_N42.03

Now I am trying times via USB. Question all 3 ISO to a USB install? Install or any DVD to a USB or copying?

Installation 2015-1 map database from USB:

First of all, you need daemon tools or any other similar program for mounting iso img files.

1.Mount the first iso file which contains firmware N42c. Copy folder HEADUNIT and HBUPDATE.DEF to an empty usb stick (fat32). Start the car and insert usb. System will detect update and you just confirm the update. Car must run all the way till the end of the update process!

2.Now mount the second iso img which contains map database from the first DVD and copy folder pkdb and config.nfm to an empty USB stick (fat32 formatted)

3.Insert usb in your system and system will detect map update. Confirm and wait…after some time the system will ask for DVD2. Now go to your pc, format usb stick and mound DVD 3 and copy folder pkdb and config.nfm to an empty USB stick. Now go to your car and insert USB and the update will continue till the end.

    **Warning!
It's possible that at the end of update (11/13) you will receive an error message (error 0x26)
This error appear sometimes but it's nothing serious so don't worry, just press Ok to valide the message and the NG4 system will be rebooted. After the system reboot the update process will resume and finish the update.

Option #2 - If you want to update the entire map database From 1 USB stick, than you'll need 16 GB USB stick and do the following:

download modified script: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    - extract and copy folder pkgdb and config.nfm on a empty 16 GB (fat32) USB stick.
    - Now mount map DVD 1 and go to folder pkgdb. Copy all folders on a USB in map pkgdb. But do not copy file PSA_ECE_Q2_2014_PKG_EU_12.0.2_1_12.0.2.pkg!!!
    - Now mount map DVD 2 and go to folder pkdb. Copy all folders on a USB in map pkdb. Do not copy file PSA_ECE_Q2_2014_PKG_EU_12.0.2_2_12.0.2.pkg!!

Finaly your usb file structure looks like this:

    USB root:

    0111

    USB pkgdb folder:

    0222i

Now he no longer recognizes the videos. Also not USB. So no map update. Only thing was detected, the system update. Let go through again and try to make the map update. Nothing. Not recognized or does not matter.
Now I have it not even the old cards. So no more navigation on board.

Try with smaller USB (16 GB). Make sure it's fat32 formatted! Procedure which I described works, I did it many times.

All were both USB formatted to FAT32. 1 USB 32GB
and 1 USB 8GB. Have done with the 32GB as you described it. Has indeed started first but then canceled 2 errors and 99%. Has not even the 2 file (DVD) is being accessed. Then stop copying a DVD to the USB stick and the second DVD copied to a USB stick. Are not recognized.
Then DVD pure and he recognizes now no longer. Starts or not the map update.
