ignatron , i did look for a pdf version but with no luck at this time . i will keep searching from time to time . i used gps babel to convert the kml to .wpt for ozi explorer ce and seems to be working alright at the moment. ozi explorer pc can import the kml files and use them as they are.

OK thanks will have a look at that, The way I use OziExplorer you would think am an Expert but the way I use it is really basic, I download a file from the Mines Department here in West Ozzie and it comes as a PDF "in 250k:1" and I convert that to a JPEG then import and Calibrate that map in Ozzie then I import any Tracks ".plt " I have and use them to Re correct the calibration of the map then convert to OZF for my PDA" then when we go bush and I find it's not quite right I then fire up the lappy and do extra Cal points to correct it again and so the process goes on, it is important to know exactly where you are when you go Gold Prospecting and know whos Lease your on, I have done this for many many years now and I keep checking my location by taking from the map a mining lease peg point and go looking for it and I keep finding I'm within 4 metres of that peg.
My M8's keep saying where the F are you taking us now am only following your tracks but what are you following "me" I say the 30yr old track "sort of" in front of me LOL.
I enjoy that when we go Gold Hunting is a real adventure and it's even better when you get to that spot and the other tracks leading out have not been used either.
But it's still a hobby nothing to retire on yet but one day "have only 2 years to retire anyway heh."
M8's have GPS and can get themselves to a point BUT not the way I take them. It is alot of fun we have.
    Extra info:
I do also collect Rocks and Minerals, which means cutting,Polishing and Faceting and Detecting Gold and Treasures, so hey put all that with Camping in some nice place in Oz and why would you want to go Overseas, hey there is some nice fossicking places in NSW and QLD I'd like to go back to one day.

    Enjoy the outdoors everyone.
    I'm out there.

    Hiya Ignatron
This is a bit off topic but....I didn't think you could fossick on a mine lease. I don't think you can in NSW. Maybe WA is different.

Iggy's presently off in the bush somewhere pretending to know where he is. Actually, i suspect he means that he wants to know where the leases are so that he keeps OFF them but hey it's 'da Iggs' so you never know mmmm. Oh cr@p! Now i'm not only defending him i'm even writing like him ,,, come back Iggy, COME BACK!

    Hey M8
If your Fossicking for rock for Lapidary work you prob get away with it, but if you swing a Detector that maybe different.
I do both. Plus a few other versions of the hobby.

M8 after the last one I haven't been out much that I need it, But I wouldn't knock it back if it came here. ^_^

Edit: If it did come out I missed it but the Forum had a Server Seizure and data was lost "have a look at a new members presentation at my post and will explain it all.

    I've given up on Camps7,8,9,X....
I'm now using Android app - Campermate. It's free ad free and has most of the free camps, low cost campsites and caravan parks. The Australia .map file that comes with it is not good. Download the AU state .map files from OpenAndroMaps [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and drop them in the app's directory. /Android/nz.co.campermate/files/map/. This gives current good OSM quality maps. Then select Offline Maps in the app.
Another solution is use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Select a few AU states in the bounding box (bbox) and use the wizard to search for camp_sites and/or caravan_sites. Then download in your preferred format and load into Android apps like MapsWithMe or Ourxmaps.
