    Default Magellan Meridian 12001 NEMA wiring diagram

    Hi Members, l am trying to connect the old white brick (aka, model 12001) to Maxsea. This GPS is owned by a friend l have install maxsea for . I have the basic manual which doesn't show any wiring. The unit has a 6 wire cable with a small box attached to it. I imagine the box is a 12v to 5VDC?
    converter. The cores are
    red =12+
    black=12- and connected 9 pin, nema -
    orange= nema+
    yellow
    brown
    white
    I have seen different wiring diagrams for the 1200 and shows orange =nema + and bare for -. I have hooked up the orange and the black as +- nema to a 9 pin then into a usb converter.
    I have had a lot of experience with GPS to usb to maxsea and are confident that the usb input wires are correct( but of course l could be wrong). I have turned on the NEMA in the GPS and has a position, but nothing is TX to the USB. Baud rate l believe is default 4800 (l have tried others as well) The 1200 manual shows lots of menu stuff that isn't in the 12001. i.e baud rate, sentences etc. I have tried connecting the other colours as - nema without any luck.
    I have spent a few hours goggling without luck for a wiring diagram, so hope someone here can help. Regards Duckman

    EDIT- will answer my own post, the above wiring description is now correct. I had transposed the 9 pin terminals, left to right incorrectly. After wiring the 9 pin, top row 1-5 R-L looking into female plug using in my case T1= nema - (looped the Black), T2 = nema +(orange) it is now working.
