    Default backup SD

translated automatically with google translation because I'm Italian.

Here is the youtube videos on how (in Italian) to change the CID of the SD card on the navi900 navi600 to be able to copy their own maps.
Basically you have to copy the original CID of your SD card on a samsung evo plus and then simply copy the folder to the other cryptnavSD.

This is the link I made to verify that the procedure works.

This method also works with other navigation systems based on SD cards like Nissan connect.

so if someone updated maps now can share them.

Do you have an English how to text to change cid? I have windows, but I think HexWorkshop what I will need, just don't know how to use it exactly.

Use Linux for this, Ubuntu confirmed to work. It's easy to add a linux OS to a small partition on your existing HDD or you can just run Ubuntu from a disc in an optical drive or even from a USB stick.

Vid in English for changing Evo+ CID:

Mute the sound unless you're on Acid. I haven't watched it all the way thru but it does credit Alessandro Maestroni [claimed to be the OP, vipera] and it's text instruction is in English so much easier to follow if you don't understand Italian.

Is it only works, with Samsung evo plus cards? So e.g. kingston is not good?

No, any other is no good (at the momment). Because of the hardware protection any other SD won't allow changing CID..Until now only genuine Samsung Evoplus 32/64 Gb allow it (with additional software tool + Linux or Android OS).

    Thank you very much!!!

I have an original 12/13 sd card. I can make a copy of that (using this cid method). Interesting, that can't use 12/13 sd card cid, to 16/17 maps.

I have a strange problem. I cant change the cid to 5d53424c32424d31013917ca53010400, the last 3 digit always will be 459 (5d53424c32424d31013917ca53010459) (when I changed the cid to the 12/13 sd card cid, I didn't have an issue like this).
The car first accepted the card, but now it wants to update the fw (to 0.0.0 version, or something like this) My firmware is GM10.8V176. How I know the newest is GM10.8V208.
But at GM10.8V208 minimum requirement how I know is an 14/15 sd card (and my original is 12/13, so I wanted to update after I know I have a good 16/17 sd)

    What is your advice?
